Last year Hillsboro had a takedown tournament that was fun and a good skills tournament with a large turn out. Are they having their tournament this year and if so what divisions or age categories are they having. Don't know who has done takedown tournaments before but they are fun and force a offensive mindset.

I don't have any information regarding the Hillsboro tournament, however, Sunflower Kids Wrestling Club in Lawrence will be having a Takedown Weekend on Dec. 20th & 21st at Lawrence Free State High School.
Saturday the 20th will be a takedown clinic hosted by the Neosho County CC head coach and staff. During that clinic, a bronze certification coaches clinic will be held in another part of the same building. Sunday the 21st, will be the takedown tournament. Takedown clinic cost is $35 which includes lunch, and the wrestlers entry into Sunday's tournament. Tournament cost alone is $12, with discounts for clubs sending more than 10 wrestlers. Deadline for entry and for the block of rooms reserved at the host hotel is Dec. 5th. For more information, look it up under the tentative schedule link, or under the "camps/clinics" link. We meet last night and have set a tentative date of December 6th to host our Fifth Annual Hillsboro Takedown Tournament. As soon as we know we have the gym for that date we will be posting more information. As far as age divisions, we will be running 6, 8, 10, 12, & 14 and under age divisions.
