To all wrestlers;
As many of you know Quinton Hitchcock from WWC was unable to attend the Ks state wrestling tournament this last weekend due to his mom be- coming extremeley ill and hospitalized. There is going to be a bake sale fundraiser to assist the family in what is going to be a long recovery process. If anyone would like to donate baked goods please bring them to Sluggers @ 13th & Ridge rd. on Wed. March 31st to be sold at the West Urban preseason baseball tournament this weekend. All proceeds will go to the Hitchcock family. If you have any questions please call Lisa Thurman at 838-1482. Thank you in advance for your thoughtfulness.

This is a great family and Quinton, his mom and his dad are wonderful people. Let's keep them all in our prayers. For those out of town and unable to attend the bake sale an address would be great to send financial donations to.

For anyone that knows Pam and her family you know that they would do anything that they could to help out your family. No matter what is going on they have been great to my son and my family. It is a shame that bad things happen to great people. Please see to it that you can contribute to this cause. Even if you don't know them,the wrestling community needs to pull together in times like these.

I didn't know about Quinton's mom but I know them fairly well, as I have cared for Q in the past. I was very impressed when Pam sought me out at districts to say thanks for all the work we do for the girls program, and she doesn't even have a girl wrestler. She is a kind and giving person and our prayers are with her and her family. Q, if there is anything I can do to help your mom, you know where to find me.

The Hitchcock's are a wonderful family and have been a huge asset to our club and the wrestling community in general. Pam and Marc have been responsible for all of our tournament entries the past two years all well as many other helpful duties, and everyone that knows "Q", knows what a cheerful, funloving young man he is, and one of the best athlets on our club. It is my understanding Pam has a long road to recovery ahead. Financial assistance would be greatly appreciated and can be sent to:
Hitchcock Family c/o Wichita Wrestling Club P.O. Box 782571 Wichita, KS 67278-2571
Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers, and Thank you Mike Furches for the above suggestion.

Pam got out of the hospital yesterday (4/8/04) and is doing well. She should be back at work in a couple of weeks. The Hitchcocks would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during Pam's illness.
