Yes, Colby Crank wrestled 120 this past weekend, and he is very tough. Also tough are Kyle Caylor of TOHK, Cody Sherwood of VC, and Kody Haskins from TOHK at 120. Spencer Soward of Halstead was at 120, but moved up to 130 this past weekend. Ian Whittit of Derby has been doing very well at 115.

Cody Sherwood of Valley Center has been wrestling 115 all year in kansas. The tournaments have combined 115 and 120 most of the time.

Buhler tournament top three for 12-120 1st-Colby Crank 2nd-Kyle Caylor 3rd-Cody Sherwood
I would like to see a list of kids that have been wrestling middle school.
This weekend at Salina should give us a good idea of who will be the top contenders in the 12/115-120 weight classes. This will be the first time that the weight classes will not be combined.

Ian Whittit won Liberty nationals this weekend. I think he is peaking at the right time.

By the way, anybody know of kids wrestling at these weights at the Classic? My son, Kris, will be wrestling 115. He actually weighed at 108.8 today, so we need to fatten him up a little .

theres seems to be a lot of people wanting to know about the 12 and under at 115. well i think if you had looked at the results of the tournaments in kansas you would be smart enough to know who has been winning and what kids are just talking, results are what count. there are a lot of great kids out there and on any given day one may beat the other but going in to the last week before sub state theres only one that i know of that has not been beat, and sat i hope he stays that way,but like i said anybody can be beat. hope you all have a great weekend and we will be in holton next sat, and try to stay unbeaten, till then have a great week and good luck to all the kids, after all its still for the kids and i hope it stays that way.

Whittit from Derby is the real deal. Didn't wrestle at Salina but can now add Wichita/Park City Classic to his Liberty Nationals and numerous local tournament Championships. Not saying he will win state, but he does seem to keep winning. In 10 years of coaching I have never seen someone so inexperienced(started less than 5 months ago) pick up the sport so fast. He is a real example that you win with basics.

to Mike Furches I have been hearing a lot about Whittit all for the good and back here in the northeast we are glad to hear hes doing well, if things go right for him and my grandson ryan they should meet in the third round at state and that may be a match made in heaven. we have wrestled kody haskins, sawyer train who is a real good wrestler and don,t over look him in slaina and Quinton Ford in topeka and they are good kids but haskins was fifteen pointed and ford pinned so like i say if ryan and whittit get together it could be a war. tell him good luck and lets hope every thing goes as planded.
