Hi there. This is my first post ever. First of all I would like to say thank you for all that came to the 4th annual Silver Lake open/novice tournament on super bowl Sunday. This was my 4th year running it and first time using track for it. Thanks to all that helped with the tournament and a BIG thanks to Mark Stanley and Lonnie Woodman with track. We had 480 kids, started on time and last match was done at 1:30.

The main reason I am sending out this post is to thank Doug Vander Linden with Burlington wrestling for holding a wrestlers for christ prayer and I asked him to hold a special prayer for Bryan Lindstrom and his family. Bryan has been fighting cancer for a couple of years. His son Tagan has been wrestling with us and SLJH the last few years. Tagan and John (Bryan's dad) were there Sunday for this. Bryan has only short time to spend with his family and us. I want to thank everyone who made donations to Bryan and his family. We were able to raise $482.50. We took it over Monday night, they were very appreciative. Thank you from SLWC for the support.

Great tournament. We like coming to this one, because we see some of District 3 kids, and some of the far west District 1 kids we don't always see in the Metro area. We will be back next year.

Glad we could help support the club and the cause and we will return each year as it is one of the best ran tournaments we have been to this year.
