Frank Jonas of KMC was a 3x state champ in 5a. He lost in the finals as a sophomore on a controversial takedown call as the match ended.

What about that Dyer kid for the Olathe (sp?) area? Back in the early ninety's? Wasn't he a three timer and at a heavy weight - like 189, 215?
Am I imaging things are did that dude wrestle and he was pretty dominant and even went on to wrestle D-1???

Oh . . . good. I have not completely lost my mind. I found him on Will's two time list:
2000 1 (6A) Dyer, Justin Olathe South 171 2001 1 (6A) Dyer, Justin Olathe South 189
So, what is his story? I remember he was a young kid, tossing people around like they were rag dolls. What grade was he in when he won his championships and what place and grade was he in the two years that he did not?
I remember he was pretty impressive!

Beloit's Mark Hewitt losing a close match in 3A semi-finals his junior year (1982) was a shocker! Quite arguably Beloit's best wrestler ever.
