OK... well im an 8th grader, and I'm in federation wrestling right now and i have no one to practice with! I asked the high school coach if i could and he told me i could if it wasn't against the rules.. so i came here to find out if i could...

I thought it was against high school rules for you to go in and practice with them. I dont know but thats what i thought.

I is my understanding that Kids that are not in the high school program are not allowed to practice with the high school kids during scheduled practice. Now if kids want to come in and wrestle on their own with yonger kids then they can do that but high school coaches cannot coach kids in the wrestling room. The only other issue that comes into play is that if a kids wrestler is "practicing" with the high school wrestler and someone gets hurt it becomes a liability issue, depending on the circumstance. So the short answer to your question is no, you can't practice with the the higher schoolers during their practice, but yes you can wrestle with them on your own time.

I thought that anyone can practice with a high school as long as they weren't in 2 different wrestling federations? (ex: middle school and high school at the same time).
I may be wrong, but I thought this was how it went.

I went through that same thing to and I found out a month later it is against High School Rules To wrestle if you are in any grade less than 9th you can not practice with a High School. I hope this clears it up.
