I had the unique experience of being on teams with two sets of identical twins in two different towns. Both sets were exceptional wrestlers and did very well in high school (not 100% sure but I think three of them, possibly all four, placed at State and one was a State Champion).
Tony and Troy Bettis (Belleville '80-'83) David and Dean Shreiner (Pratt '82-'85)
These guys worked each other over all the time as well as many of their teammates. I wrestled with the Bettis twins in Kids' Fed and Junior High, the Shreiner twins in High School. What are some of the other notable High School ITs in Kansas that you remember?

Fun fact: The Jesseph twins and the Cole twins from Chanute have the same mom! Both sets of twins are great wrestlers!

Matt and Mark Sauls.
Both from Independence, MO. They wrestled for William Chrisman HS during the late 70's.
As JR's - they both took 3rd place at state. As seniors they both were undefeated state champions. They got scholarships and wrestled at Mizzu.

How about the Dryden Twins. I think they were from Wichita North.

I work with Jason Buxton who is a twin out of South Dakota...he and his brother John hold several records still in SD from back in the late 80's. They both wrestled at Nebraska and I know Jason got to wrestle on the National team a few times. He has stated over and over again that because he had a twin to wrestle all the time, it made him so much better. (I realize they are not from KS but I believe Jason helped do some coaching on the MO side).
I have read on this forum many times about needing a good wrestling partner, nothing better than having one with you 24/7.
