Can anyone tell me how good the Columbus tournament is? Our club is not going anywhere that weekend and I am thinking about taking my son down for that tournament.

We go to this tournament every year and it is a pretty good tournament. It has been known to run long but they have improved this a great deal over the last couple of years. We enjoy it.

We would really enjoy having you at our tournament. We generally have between 300 and 350 kids. The younger brackets are generally pretty full. The older brackets are not as full, but have top quality kids.
You will see most of the good kids from the southern area of district 1, including Chanute, Altamont, Columbus, Pittsburg, and Fort Scott.
Entries are accepted through wednesday the week of the tournament, we will work up the brackets on thursday night.
We start wrestling at 9:00am sharp, and have started on time the last 5 years. There is no waiting for medals, as they are handed out at the table immediately after your last match.
This is the 28th year for this tournament and it is well organized.

If you have any questions I can be reached at 620-674-3040.

Thank you for the information. I think we will be coming down. I am going to talk to some more of the parents and see if anyone else is intrested. What is the entry fee for this one? What about weigh-in?
