Sunday, December 7th at 10am.

The best access to this area is to park in the back lot (North side) of high school. There is a main entry way leading to this area. Class will be held in the Ravens Nest

Light lunch will be provided.

Before you take the class you must do the step below. So about a month to get everything done and turn it into your club director so they can order your coaches card.

It is that time of the year again for background checks. At least it is for me. Every other year coaches are required to do this BEFORE you can purchase a coaches card.

STEP #1 - Background Check and email to club saying you passed

I think the fee is now $15 it use to be $17.

Coaches are required to complete a background check every two years. Before issuing a current coaches' card, your club will require you to provide proof that you have passed the background check. The cost of the background check is $15. Here are the instructions on what you need to do to complete your background check:

1.
Go to www.usawmembership.com.

2.
Sign in or create a new account.

3.
Click 'Profile' in the upper right corner of the screen and choose 'BG Check History' near the top of the screen. Please note that you will be required to use a different user id and password in the background check website - do not try to use your USA Wrestling user id and password.

4.
After completing the background check, do not attempt to purchase a membership online. This feature is disabled for Kansas coaches.

STEP #2 - Club orders your coaches card

After the background check is complete you will receive an email notice indicating whether or not you have successfully passed the background check. Provide this confirmation notice to the club director, who will then be able to purchase your coaches' membership from the state office.

If we havnt gotten cards yet but know card #s will that be ok?

That will be fine!!

Previous clinics have had the opportunity to complete the test on site, which is a definite advantage as well.

Hi Randy, I attended the December 7th class and just received my card. Which # do you need on the card?

A few updates!!

This Sunday the 4th we have a clinic in Junction City!! The cost is $60 and it lasts about 7 hours. You MUST have a current USAW Coaches Membership card to attend. Please e-mail if you plan to do so!!

Sunday, January 11th @ 10 there is a Bronze Clinic in Parsons
Sunday, February 1st @ 10 there is a Bronze Clinic in Sublette
Sunday, February 8th @ 10 there is a Bronze Clinic in Burlington

We are working to hold one in Norton late in January!!

ALL of these clinics require the USAW Coaches Membership card!! All clinics during the Folkstyle season cost $60.

Please notify the clinician if you plan to attend!

We have a list of coaches that have attended this years clinics that their USAW number is still pending!!

Follow through with your clubs ... get this number to me to complete your certification!!

Remember, that lack of planning (follow through) on your part, may not constitute an emergency on others!! Or ... do not wait until sub-district week to get this done!!

Randy about how long does it take to get the bronze card after attending the class I took the one in Edwardsville and have not seen anything as of yet.

I would give them 2 weeks after these holidays!!

We had 29 today in Junction City!!

Just announced!! Jan 25 at Noon, a Bronze clinic offering in Norton with instructor Bill Johnson!!
