Great job maize. I did like the video feeds. My wife was with our daughter in Lawrence for volleyball and was able to watch the boys wrestle so that was great. Only one minor issue. In the coaches meeting it was brought up about how you act and talk will be broadcast for all to see and hear. Well my wife said the table workers must of not been told that because on table 16 they might of said some inappropriate things. I don't worry about that. I at turn the sound down. Thanks again and see you next year.

You are right it is the directors job to police their rules, but not police all 1400 participants and where they are entered. Helping run a tournament of our own with over 1000 wrestlers I assure you some kids get entered where they should not. Whether that be entered into a novice or in our tournament a C bracket. Unfortunately we do not know all 1000 + kids entered and usually don't know how many years most wrestlers have been competing. It sounds like Maize has a good plan in place to do their best to hold teams to the rules.
Overall I thought this tournament was a well run tournament. Lots tough compitition plenty of room to walk around, and officials from what I seen were pretty good. Good job Maize!!!!! Hays will be back next year for some shots at Belts.

I second that. Great Tournament Zach! There was some amazing wrestling going on. As far the novice thing, the coach should have some integrity and not allow that. 3 issues for that size of tournament is pretty awesome. Congrats Maize that was an awesome tournament.

I know I have caught myself in Track with the double option for Open or Novice picked the wrong one and luckily caught it later.
Having 2 different entries for Open and Novice I think is the way to go. Then no one can say they "accidentally" clicked the wrong drop down.
I am not sure if that was part of this, just my feedback when running the two tournaments in tandem.

Does anyone have an update on the young man that was carted off the mat on a stretcher?
