Why are you holding out on the matrix and or a wrestlers list. All other districts have posted either or.

I guess it is not a big deal. Just wanted to know since all other districts were posting. And by the way there is no need to get defensive D.B. it was just a simple question!!!!

Seems like an advantage for District 1 kids to sit and wait to see where the other 3 district's entries.

I agree with greendog. Don't like this at all. The state needs to get on the same page across the board.

The state should close registrations for all districts at the same time.

District 1 must have their seeding meeting the morning of the tourney? Once we got started yesterday, it only took a little over an hour to finish seeding, so D2 could consider a later registration cutoff, and do the seeding meeting the morning of districts. This would avoid the nightmare of a stud kid at one weight not making weight and blowing up the bracket of the next weight above by being drawn into the bracket. I can get up an hour earlier the day of districts to do the seeding meeting.......

I believe D2 should stay the same. The chance of a stud kid not making weight doesn't outweight the obvious benefits of having the seeds done early. It was a nightmare in Salina getting match numbers for a team done after the seeding meeting ended. Besides, the Salina seeding format wasn't the best. Only a couple coaches could be heard. At least everyone has an equal voice at Kapaun. I say we are good in D2. Others take notice on our No Sub District system, early seeding system and early release of brackets during District week.

Very impressed with the way District 2 has done things. Nothing to hide, everyone can see it all. Nobody with the "I know something you don't know, everything is a secret attitude." Great job, hope all the Districts will get on board.

I agree this is ridiculous. Dist. 1 not closing registrations until the end of the week is also ridiculous. Uniform rules for all would be great.

Track still shows D2 as open for new entries until 3/14/2017 at 6:30? Is that right? Copied off track registration page: USAWKS 2017 District 2 Championships 03/14/2017 06:30 p.m. C.S.T.

High school entries only can be entered until Friday I believe. 8u thru 14u have been seeded. Only thing that will change is if someone doesn't make weight and moves up. Noone else can be added to 8u-14u

I don't think District 2 needs to change. District 1 registration needs to be move up. I think all should have registrations due the 8 days before Sub District weekend, and then all districts seed on Sunday. The comment about getting up one hour early to seed the morning of district tournament is laughable. There are people traveling 4 1/2 hours in District 4 for their district tournament.

Scanning through some of the latest registrations in District 1. There is definitely some movement in weight classes from where the participants were throughout the season.

One hour earlier, not early. If you were getting up at three in the morning , you would have to get up at two in the morning. If you were driving up the night before and getting a hotel room, it's not going to change that either . And when a stud from the weight class below you does not make weight, and he is drawn into the bracket and wrestles your son the first round, there won't be anything laughable about that.
