What club is hosting this tournament? Is this a open or novice tournament? Would like some information about this tournament. Is this a new tournament?

This is a new tournament that is being hosted by Salina Wrestling Club and the Salina South wrestling team. We have picked a Sunday because we (South High) wrestle every Saturday and because we host a varsity tournament on the 7th, this date will save us some set-up.
This is an open tournament and our intention is to run a round robin format to get matches and to pair kids equitably (A's, B's, C's, etc.). Our intention is to run a format that will be good for novice as well as experienced wrestlers.

I would like to update everyone on this tournament. It is on a Sunday and alot of kids are wrestling on the 7th in various tournaments. We will be giving 1# on weigh-ins and it is not too late to sign up. Give me a call and we'll get your little guys signed up and spend a day in Salina!
As stated in the earlier post, this is being hosted by SKWC and Salina South Wrestling team as a fund raiser. We hope this will be more meaningful than selling food cards and frozen pizzas to raise money for our team. We fund various items including motel rooms, team meal money when we travel, etc. We would really appreciate your support in Salina on the 8th.

The sooner the better, but we will not turn anyone away. We will be happy to accomodate late requests but try to let me know in the next couple of days.

Yes, this is correct. We will take entries as long as anyone needs us to but we would prefer them as soon as possible. Give me a call or email me as soon as you know anything and we'll get your kids in.
We will try to accomodate everyone's needs.

A big thank you to all who attended. Hopefully your wrestlers got some quality matches in and we really appreciate your patience with our high school wrestlers working the tables. My guys really enjoyed watching the little guys wrestle and enjoyed telling stories from the old days when they were little.
