The 321A Pre-Season Rankings have been posted. Keep in mind I have not heard that many weight projections so the majority of these rankings are based off of last year's state tournament results. Also, I have not moved any teams into or out of 321A because the wrestling classifications are not supposed to be official until Regionals are announced in December. Please send me any weight projections, injuries, move ins or move outs, etc. My email is wyatt_bechtel@yahoo.com or you can private message me on the forum if you prefer.

Does anyone have updates for weights, injuries, move ins or move outs, etc. before the upcoming rankings?
I have only heard from a handful of coaches, so it is looking like the rankings won't be all that accurate starting out.

Aren't these kinda pointless till we even find out what schools will be in the division?

A person could argue rankings are pointless all together even the ones at the very end of the season. A ranking doesn't guarantee you any hardware. A ranking is merely a prediction by a person or group of people on how everything might end up. As a wrestling fan it adds a little fun to the season..

Very true, but this year we don't even know what schools are in the division at this point... you can't even make a prediction if you don't know who's all in the class yet. I understand why and how the rankings are made, this year is just a little different.

They are an attempt to quantify past results, not future. The main goal is to promote the worlds greatest sport while giving due recognition to the blood, sweat and heart invested by our states courageous athletes.

The final 321A Rankings for the 2018-19 season have been posted. Keep in mind these are the rankings, not a projected finish. There are some wrestlers ranked #1 and #2 who are paired up on the same side of the bracket, along with some ranked wrestlers who will likely meet one another in the blood round to sort out placement. Best of luck to everyone out in Hays.

The 321A Rankings were updated after I noticed that I missed a head-to-head at 132 lb.The first rankings released this week did not account for Tate Kadel from Beloit pinning Chris Goans from Lyons during the Regional Finals at 132 lb. My apologies for not having this correct on the initial rankings. Here is how 132 lb. is currently ranked: 132 1. Beau Horn-11-Riverside 2. Ethan Ewing-12-Wellsville 3. Colby Schreiner-9-Kingman 4. Billy Sales-12-Council Grove 5. Dylan Weimer-11-Hoxie 6. Tate Kadel-9-Beloit Good luck to everyone out at 321A State in Hays.
