I would like to take a minute to thank the Kansas Wrestling Community for it's continued support of the Battle of the Belt. We had some exceptional competition again this year, with 9 states represented and nearly 1700 wrestlers. Colorado, Missouri, Nebraska, and Texas brought in some legit hammers. Oklahoma competition was unfortunately a bit thin with the OKUSA State tournament taking place the same day. Hopefully we don't run into that issue next year.
I would also like to tip my hat to our officials for grinding out a solid 12+ hr day. I know it's a long Saturday, but without you guys we wouldn't be able to offer this in-state experience to our youth. No way we could cover the 4259 matches that were wrestled that day without you all! Thank you officials!
As always, we would like any feedback, both positive and negative. We are always looking to improve from year to year, and love hearing ideas and thoughts as to how to make the next event even better.
