Congrats are in order to the Manhattan Optimist Club for putting on a first class tournament yesterday in the Little Apple Classic. The tournament was very well run and organized. For the number of wrestlers there we got finished at a decent time. The facility worked out well except that it got rather warm in the stands afternoon a few hours. This was the first time that we have traveled to this tournament but we certainly we try to make it again in the future.

On behalf of the Leander / Cedar Park Wrestling Club (Austin, TX area) I also would like to thank Manhattan Wrestling Club for a great tournament. I have been part of the Kansas Kid's Wrestling Program for 4 years and recently moved to Texas. The Texas program is growing but no where near the size/quality/professionalism seen in Kansas. There are fewer clubs here and we must travel long distances to small tournaments each week. I have bragged about the KS program since my arrival. I don't know how many sentences I've started with "Back in Kansas..." I had to put my money where my mouth is. I was proud to bring a small contingent of our wrestling program to experience the "Little Apple Classic" and show our coach and a few parents what Texas could have with more time and effort. He was amazed!!! The support crew, coaches and referees were all true professionals. Although our kids didn't do as well as we had hoped, it was a tremendous experience for everyone.
