5A state tidbits
Champs: West-9 East-5 Placers: West-57 East-27 5-6-7-8 seeds winning vs Higher seeds from other regional in first round West-18 East-2
We really need to seed the state tournament or find a way to make the regionals more balanced. It shouldn’t be easier to place at the state tournament after taking 5th or 6th instead of 3rd or 4th.

I’d be in favor of splitting it up based on rankings. 7 of the top 10 were out of the west. And of the 8 lowest scoring schools, 7 came out of the East

I agree the state tournament needs to be seeded, but I don't see how that will change the disparity between regionals. 4A has the same problem between the south central regional and all the rest.

Not as much disparity as you think in 4A. Maybe state champions. State Champions by Regional: Rose Hill 9, Abilene 3, Labette County 2, Tonganoxie 0; Placers including state champions: Rose Hill 27, Abilene 23, Tonganoxie 18, Labette County 16

Old timers like myself only count the first four.
