By the way, they said to allow them 10 days to get them all up.

Did they also do the photos of the placers on the podium and if so can we order pictures online somewhere?

It's too bad that USAWKS made an agreement with US Photo that prohibited local press photographers from the arena floor. I have yet to see a US Photo in any paper in Southwest Kansas. Their presence does not benefit us (wrestlers and wrestling) outside of the arena. I'm sure that the money they bring helps to offset the expense of the facility. Hopefully, in the future the photographers who make sure our kids get recognized locally will be on the floor to get good photos.

There is no agreement with US Photo. I have no idea what you are talking about. We gave out over 75 press passes this past weekend and I saw them all over the arean floor taking pictures. I even saw people wearing the press pass who should not have had them.
All we ask is that they take pictures from the coach's side of the mat. I do not think we want all of the press out in the middle of the mat taking pictures.
If there was a problem with someone you know with the press not getting on the floor please let me know so we can look in to it.

Ned,
There was an announcement during the tournament (Sunday)that press photographers were restricted to being behind the dasher boards, because USAWKS had an agreement with US Photo that allowed them only on the floor. That's what I base my comment on. And yes, there were photographers on the mat without any apparent credentials.

I would be curious to know if in fact US Photo did have an agreement of any kind with USAWKS?

US Photo and Kansas Kids have an agreement that they are to pay a flat dollar set-up fee, as well as a percentage of their sales, to Kansas Kids Wrestling. This covers the action photos as well as State Finalists photos that were sold.
They will also provide us with the state finalists photos to be used in the program book in 2007 and other shots if we request (officials, state award winners, etc).
