I am posting this under my coach's name because I don't have a screen name of my own.
Unsportsmanlike Conduct:
I am truly sorry for the poor sportsmanship I displayed at the Russell Round Robin Tournament this past weekend. I apologize to all those offended by my actions. To the Russell coaches and the Russell JV 125 lbr., I am sorry.
Our coach harps on us about good sportsmanship and we try to win and lose with dignity. However, I did not lose with dignity. I acted like a jerk. I'm sorry coach.
Thank you, Garret Ludwig Lyons High School 125 lbr.

Garrett-
What you just did takes guts, something most people would never attempt to do. Although I did not personally see your match or the reactions, I was in the lockeroom when your coach was talking to you and wasn't trying to eavesdrop but was kidna hard to not listen, and i commmend you for what you just did.

He apologized that's what he did, and to me that erases what ever he had done. Although inquiring minds wouldn't mind knowing.

You are a man for your public statement. Good job!
What happens in the heat of battle does not always reveal the true character. It's simply a forgivable emotional explosion.

And whatever it was that he did, I'm sure I've done a thousand things that were worse!

Here's the scoop..i hope you don't mind garret
In the Russell Round Robin Tournament, Saturday Jan. 15 Garret was wrestling our JV kid, who was filling a void in the Plainville roster and had never wrestled varsity before (also he's a freshman) but it was a very close match and the final score was 6-5 in favor of the JV kid, and in his excitement of winning his first varsity match he started clapping his hands in delight, and Garret took it the wrong way and reacted in a bad manor, but to his credit as shown above he's since apologized, his coach took him from the mat to the lockeroom and talked to him about the value of sportsmanship etc. and gave him some insight, so to do what he's done is a great showing of sportsmanship

I can't speak for the spelling but Sweazy is way too young to be using the word "rapscallion"!

Not to be a naysayer, but this sounds a little bit like a forced apology, coming from either the coach or the wrestler's dad. This kind of reminds me of the press conferences of Rohn Jocker, Jandy Rhonson, et cetera...
Congrats, Aquinas! Great job, Hat Town! Salyer Rules!
