i was very impressed with many wrestlers on FRi-Sat. Guys that just dominated were Elsrode(OLS), Sultani(SMS), Erisman(DES), Hammett(BV) and of course Venagas(OLN). I look forward to seeing how they all do later this year.

yes, very impressed. we had him on his back and very nearly pinned him in the second, but other than that he countered every move from gentry and exposed our inexperience. He will be a good one. speaking of other BVN, for the amount of total kids they have, they had three in the finals and 2 champions. Nice job.

I think that St. Thomas Aquinas had several surprises at the JC Classic. First Jeff Konrath winning at 171 was a big surprise. Second outside of the Aquinas program it may have been a surprise that Neil Cisper won at 160 as a sophomore. Finally who would have thought that the Aquinas team would have won the team title after losing Gabe Conaghan and Nolan Cisper their two State Champions from last year to graduation. Good job, Coach Lorne Parks and assistant coaches and to STA youth coaches Sean McCarthy, Joe Cisper, Mark Roos and others who keep feeding the Aquinas wrestling program with good new wrestlers.

mcC and seilert both wrestled at 125, but look for seilert to be at 119 and chino at 112.
STA did have some suprises but they were well earned, those guys wrestled very well. drew ibarra was also nearly another champion for them at 152 but lost in the last seconds of the match to hammet from BV.
