Carrol lost because of poor officals, he is the best in 6a, a two timer shouldnt be one to doubt.

215 really sucks this year. Who has Bork lost to? Does anyone know? Cause I think he lost to a kid from effingham that also isn't very good. Then he beat carrol? But does anyone out there agree that its not a "highly competitive" weight class this year? There are good wrestlers, a few, but in general it is terrible.

YES GRIZZLY I DO AGREE WITH YOU I HAVEN'T SEEN A 215 MATCH THAT HAS IMPRESSED ME ALL SEASON. I BELIEVE ALL THE BIG TIME 215 KIDS LEFT LAST YEAR. BUT I GUESS IF YOU SLOW THINGS DOWN LIKE IT IS THIS YEAR COMPARED TO LAST YEAR THEN THEY ARE PROBABLY GOOD MATCHES BUT THEY COULDN'T KEEP UP WITH LAST YEARS 215 WEIGHT CLASS.

Greer from El Dorado beat Bork. Greer is a great wrestler and is only a sophmore.

the easiest way to do this is to do it like it were a seeding meeting. carroll lost to bork. bork lost to hemmerling and greer. greer lost to hemmerling, and hemmerling lost to seiler.

At the Derby Tournament Seiler was conveniently not wrestling where he and Caroll could have met but yet, conviently, started wrestling the following Monday. That could have been a good match for both of them.

If Josh is a two time state champ then how can you make the argument that 215 is not as tough as last year (when Josh won) and the year before (when Josh won). And as far as whether Ian Bork is among the top just look at what he has done in Fargo in the past few years. You don't place at that tournament without being among the elite. That is what is great about wrestling. It is all settled on the mat. Josh and Ian push each other. I would bet that they will both be in the finals again this year.

I am in agreement with the post earlier. How can someone say that a person is not a good wrestler when that person has placed at Nationals in Fargo. I'm looking forward to seeing 6A 215 this year at state.

Sportsfan do not even accuse Seiler of avoiding anyone. I am one of his coaches and if would like to see the doctor's note relasing him the Wednesday after the Derby tournament I will show you. Seiler asked us repeatedly to let him wrestle and was even wanted to go to another doctor to get permission to wrestle, but we told him having him healtly down the strectch was too important.
Seiler is the best. Hemmerling beat all these guys you are talking about and Seiler beat him after two days of practice.

Febuary 23, 2002.
4 kids will become state champions. One in each class. I think they will be every bit as good as the kids last year. Perhaps the best kids won't even win but the ones who do will for ever have the bragging rights. In two weeks we will know just who performed when they had to. until then..........

I just cannot imagine anyone beating T.J. Staab of Plainville in 215 this year. You would be hard-pressed to find another kid in the state that works any harder than Staab. Plainville wrestlers are historically better-conditioned than other wrestlers, but Staab stays in phenomenal shape year-round for football and track. He is determined to not be beaten this year, and with the way he's wrestling right now, don't be surprised if he pins his way through the rest of the season. As far as being good on his feet, I've seen him take kids down and release them just like some of the kids in the lower weights. Not many 215 pounders are quick enough or conditioned enough to perform like that. I haven't seen some of these others in action, but if they want a shot at Staab in Hays, they better be in shape.

Staab, and Page should be an excellent match. I just hope one of them do not flop and miss a chance to wrestle eachother. I wrestled Page when i was a junior at state to get in the medal round on the backside. He was only a freshman that year. It was stacked might i add now that i look back on it. There was Moore of Sft champ, Brandon clouse 2nd, Joe Corcoran 3rd, Shawn Silvis, 4th, Me, Clete frazell, Now look at those names. There are as many as 5 state championship among 4 of those guys, and who knows how many medals? Page foought his way through that bracket as a freshman, and has qualified and placed every year since then if I am correct. I say Page wins, but could easily go either way.
