A statement released by the USD #377-Atchison County Community Superintendent yesterday indicates that the following actions were taken at a special board meeting on 2-21-05.
>John Flores has been appointed Administrative Assistant At ACCHS and will assume the day to day duties and responsibilities of Principal Steve Wiseman.
>Steve Wiseman will officially remain as Principal and will work with Mr. Flores. Mr. Wiseman who will officially become Superintendent of Schools on 7-1-05 has been named as Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent and will take over the day to day duties and responsibilities of the Superintendent
>Superintendent Overstreet will continue as Superintendent of Schools but his time and responsibilities will be limited to allow more time to meet unanticipated family obligations.
>These changes are effective immediately.

I do not think it will affect his coaching assignment at all. I don't know that Coach Flores wants the Principals job permenantly though he was wide spread support if he would want it. He was aked to help out and agreed to do so. There isn't any conflict this week as ACCHS is out of school friday for the state wrestling tournament. No, this wasn't Mr. Flores first administrative act. The school realizes that many people would be absent for the state tournament and so no school is scheduled for that day. (Don't all wrestling towns do this?)
