Tough tournament. I notice only one wrestler with a below 500 record in the top four wrestlers at each weight and that one has 12 wins.
Next week, Rose Hill. I might be able to make that one.

Is the Bishop Carroll team really that tough, or did Turner not have all of their studs? I did not think that carroll had that much tallent returning this year. I think that Turner can beat the Carroll team when it counts, just like Ark City did last year.

bandit- why is it that u think that carroll won't be able to do this good again at state, do u have something against them, i mean sure turner is good, but i think that if they do that kind of wrestling again i dont think they can beat carroll, or if carroll's wrestlers wrestle as tough as that right there they will not be touched in 5a, if figge turns around maybe turner will get a better chance

I kinda agree with both bandit and mit .... I've seen both carroll and turner the past two years .... both are tough, well coached and disciplined teams ..... i lean towards turner winning by a narrow margin for these reasons: 1) steinmetz and figge always get their act together and wrestle their best when the lights go on at state 2) hansen, hulse, bird and bailes could all be finalists 3)thompson and rios should medal and so could dickinson if he pulls his head out ..... carroll is wrestling awfully well, but turner won't peak until state.

Who says Carroll has peaked already? Just because you think that Turner is going to turn it up a notch at state is no reason to believe other teams won't as well. That is what separates a championship team from a good team. You can bet that when the time comes, Carroll will be ready to go at state. They have experience, and they are going to be hard to beat.

He got beat by a fairly good wrtler in the fiinals in Kyle Earhart who has probably wrestled the toughest schedule of anyone this year. May or may not happen again this weekend in Rose Hill, or they may both get theirs kicked. That is an awful good weight class in the Rockets meet this weekend. After taking Earhart down, (FYI, Earhart has been in the finals of every tournament this season he has wrestled in so this is no fluke) galemore made a mistake and let him up thinking he could do it again. Earhart was in control most of the match and thought he had won when galemore got a gift for a tech. violation which nobody yet knows what it was. Overtime. Earhart took him down and almost pinned him in the overtime for the win. 6-4 with the take down in OT, 9-4 with back points if they get added in. Looking forward to a possible rematch and photos this weekend, or matches between any of these five Jeremy Terrell, Rose Hill Caleb Galemore, Chanute Phillip Craig, Hutchinson Derek Hall, Fort Scott Kyle Earhart, Augusta

What happened in the match between Sponsel and Steinmetz? I'm suprised that Sponsel won. Please fill me in on the details of this match.

Sponsel-steinmetz match no takedown in the first period (alot of head butting) Sponsel choose down and after some scrambling on a stand-up steinmetz tried to throw sponsel who caught him and threw him to his back for a 4 point move. Steinmetz slipped out and got the reversal. Late in the period sponsel escaped. 5-2 score Third period Steinmetz reversed and when steinmetz was putting him towards his back the ever flexible double jointed sponsel wiggled out and reversed him (we call that being sponseled because all them can do it). Steinmetz escaped and then was taken down at the very end. Final score 9-5
