This year's Senior Classic will be a 5A-6A team versus a 4A-321A team, as decided on by the KWCA.
The rosters will be announced probably in a couple of weeks.
The competition will be held at the Topeka Expocenter on Thursday, March 24, the night before the Kids State tournament begins.

Strawn and Pietrzyk have never wrestled. They have been in the same bracket only once that I know of, at Cadet Folkstyle nationals. I am not sure what value this information is . . . nationals depends a lot on bracketing - but here goes. I think Jesse was 1-2 in the tournament. One of his losses had a very very questionable referee call. Sean was 3-1, his only loss to the #4 ranked wrestler in the nation 1-0. He had to pull out due to injury.
Their wrestling styles are very similar. Both are a bit unorthodox, aggressive, and powerful. It would probably be a pretty entertaining match.

Ross Taplin is the most dominating this year in my opinion. To my knowledge he beat everyone (not counting exhibitions) by bonus points!

Ross is a very dominating wrestler. I can't imagine voting for any other guy as the best 160# in the State. No disrespect to the other guys at 160, but Ross is very very good.

I never understood what they meant by exhibition. If they mean there wasn't a team score, I understand that. If they meant it doesn't count as one of his points for matches allowed or as a competition with a win or a loss, well I do not know which rule they were interpreting to allow such a thing.
