We've seen Goddard at Colby. They are very tough. Also saw #8 Oak Park and #28 Fort Zumwalt West at Lee's Summit. I think Goddard vs. Fort Zumwalt W. in a tourney or dual would be a great match up. I think Oak Park is still tougher. Although this is my opinion. I would pay good money to see them all in a tournament together. Oak Park was very impressive and on a side note they also have Elisiah Madison wrestling there now, if some are wondering where he went.

Blair is an outstanding team. they pretty much have year-round wrestling there since it is a prep school and they usually get the best kids from all over new jersey and parts of other states (pennsylvania, deleware, etc.). After looking at the national rankings, i think i saw that they had 7 wrestlers listed in the top 10 of their respective weights.

Goddard is good in kansas standard but lets just match them up in a dual or tourny with the likes of el reno and they would get tought something about wrestling.

I do know though that Bishop Lynch could have won the tournament if they would have one more match or two in the finals and not struggled for 1st.

Well, Lynch definately did not win at AC, Goddard did. But I do not think that I would make the "blanket statement" that "that's all that mattered". Logic says that Goddard would not beat them with their full team which Lynch probable would have had had the AC tournament been "all that mattered". I am certainly not "hating on a fellow state member", but I do agree that they could not beat El Reno and probably many other teams that they are "ranked" ahead off. Their #21 ranking is based solely on the "Lynch at AC victory" so it is a little bit off. But hey, Goddard did their job so you have to give them their props.

Im not saying that goddard is not anygood because they are probally the best team in the state this year i was just simply saying that they wouldn't beat any of the teams that they are ahead of besides bishop lynch when they had 3 or 4 open weights so everyone can make them sound invincible, Im just saying if goddard doesn't have any tourny's the second week of december next year sign them up for the union classic there they will meet up with some quality teams or even perry tourny.

and the swayz I don't hate on are states teams im just saying Im not gonna give that kind of credit were credit is not due. Goddard is not a nationally ranked team if you would see the likes of blair and some of them other teams you would know this is a one time ranking.

I see no problem with Goddard being ranked and it is appropriate due to the Kansas performance on the national level the last ten years being top ten. The best team in a top ten state should be ranked nationally and if Goddard is the best team in Kansas, then they should be ranked. They are not 21 (perhaps), but surely top 40 or 50. The question then becomes, is Goddard the best team in the state? With Clay Center's victory over Norton and Carroll's victory over Clay Center, you cannot count Carroll out. Now that would be a match, Goddard versus Carroll. Any picks on that? What about Aquinas and Turner? The Bobcat and Newton might tell more. There is still state, I guess that is important.

well ark city beat goddard really bad last year at the duel goddard only won one match and that was at 103 edgmon got beat and so did freeman so you really can't say they were national caliber last year because ark city sure wasn't and well see how the duel turns out this year too, you know we like wrestling those 6a guys it's almost like wrestling 123a a little tougher than 123a because they only have one pretty decent team in norton this year.

don't know where the results would be posted, but since I was there and saw it with my own eyes, I do know it occured.
Texas has some real stuff down there, that's for sure. They may be new to this sport, but they will grow it fast and it will a force to be reckoned with.
As for the caliber of wrestling at Goddard last year, lots of late season issues really hampered them. Illness and injury and some focus/peaking issues. Those are things every coach has to contend with.
