in my opinion, and im sure in mny others, the classifications need to be chaned around there are half as many schools in 5a as 4a. It seems in many weights 5a State is too easy

Oh just shut it would you. Prant, you are just jealous because you have one of the toughest regionals in 6A.
Go ahead, make yourselves feel better by putting down others. Sticks and Stones, Sticks and Stones.

Sticks and Stones Lane? If it is just that then why do you feel you need to tell Prant to shut up? Even if they are in a tought 6A regional, I think the 4A Goodland regional takes the cake of all classes.

Sticks and stones may break your bones, but words will never hurt you. (Unless, of course, those words come with poison barbs and fists of fury, like E. Honda on Street Fighter II.)
And yes, Goodland takes the cake. Manly men will emerge from that one.

The distribution of ranked wrestlers this year in 5A is much more equitable than in the past. It just happened that way. I know that you are not implying that you would rather be in 5A than where you are right now. Just because it may seem easier to qualify for state doesn't meant it is or that 5A state is any weaker than any other class. I am not about to defend the system by any means. It is what it is and we have to live with it. Just last year the 5A regional in Bishop Carroll was one that was stacked. Some very good wrestlers were left at home. This year the regional at Valley Center seems to be a little tougher than the other 3. Yes, 5A may have some qualifiers with losing records sneak in. I know I have some good wrestlers on my team with losing records that are good wrestlers. We see some of the toughest competition in the state every week. You are going to pile up some losses. If a kid wrestles well enough to qualify for the state tournament you should congratulate them for their accomplishment rather than testify to the weakness of 5A and the system. That is what high school athletics is about. Good luck in your regionals.

When hasn't the regional closest to Wichita not been the toughest?

My question wasn't based on this years assignments. I can't remember a year that the closest 5A regional to Wichita wasn't the toughest. There may be an exception I just don't remember it.
