Dudes, let me just say how disappointed I am to hear all of you who have bleached/dyed/tampered with your hair. Fact: People who do that usually aren't good. Fact: People who do that get made fun of. Fact: Getting to state is sweet, but the experience is nullified by dumb hair decisions.
Now, I will give you all the one acceptable idea for hair maintenance during the state wrestling tournament. This has never been done before, and can only be done by a select few in the high school wrestling community. While it is a Prant Creation, sadly, I can never pull it off myself. Here goes everything...
For our bearded friends, this is what you do: Flaunt your manliness. Grow your beard nice and bushy. Next, shave off all hair except your 'burns and bangs. You now have what I like to call the "Circle of Hair." It has never been done before. You will be original, and you will be handed a state title the second you step on the mat. While the rulebook prohibits beards, there is a little-known clause that allows Lion's Manes such as your new style. The Circle of Hair and ONLY the Circle of Hair is an acceptable hair alteration for the state tournament.
Don't argue with me--it's science.

Prant I'm sorry to speak against the Gods.... Originally posted by Marbla: Drennan's mohawk was the best. Does this mean that Drennan wasn't good? since you said anyone that tampers with their hair isn't good? interesting.....

I think the decision to dry your hair should be the persons decision besides it's no diffrent then doing it for any reason and i think it's nice that some teams do things like that together.

It would be hilarious if someone shaved the top of their head, but still had hair on the side and back and looked like a bald man.

I might cut my hair into what is commonly known as the "Kentucky Waterfall Mullet." Look for me at state if I make it. It's a classic and will someday be passed down to my son and then his son as well.

It's all in fun. Trying to relieve the stress that comes this time each year! It's great to see the kids that have enough self-confidence to be able to relax and have some fun before regionals. If you don't like what the wrestlers are doing or have done..just don't look at them. You all have worked very hard to get where you are at today, so "hat's off to the wrestlers, and best of luck to each and everyone of you at Regionals and State!" Thanks for giving us another great season!

We always had a tradition of bleaching our hair blonde before the first tourny of the year. Maybe thats what sent us over the top last year at state. It wasn't Sprigg who won us the championship, it was our hair.

Not sure I understand your thinking on the subject of Dyed hair but I don't think it makes you enjoy life anymore then I do without doing it. I could be wrong. I have a certain level of creditibility that I most uphold and making sure I don't look stupid or act stupid is very important in my life. I enjoy life in many ways but dying my hair is not one of them.
It is true you are kids and we should let you act like it- but when you want to be treated like an adult understand you must act like one

Turner looked good last year in the parade wearing the "cheap sun-glass'es",all big black frames. Good game, very "dominant" Steves.

My advice is that you not draw attention to yourself by doing something to your hair. That is not an accomplishment worthy of recognition. If you want to draw attention to yourself, do it by getting your hand raised. That is an accomplishment worthy of recognition.

Did Drennan win state the year he shaved his hair into a mohawk, or was that one of the years he lost at state?
