I have it on good authority that Jesus was not a wrestler! Long hair, sandals, he was a soccer player if I ever saw one.

To GoldenDomer: Point taken, but I still don't think your understanding me. I think Jesus said something about not being the first to cast stones, or something like that.

Since when did GoldenDomer change his avatar and become religious?
So this kid is putting on his shoes right, and his mom says, honey you're putting your shoes on the wrong feet, and the little kid says, no mom these are my feet

I changed my avitar about 20 minutes ago. I "became religious" when I was confirmed in 8th grade.
(By the way, the avatar is the main building at my school. 10 pts to whoever can guess the name.)

[QUOTE]Originally posted by Falstaff: [QB] To Mr. Dwelsh:

****All of life is spiritual. See Church's quote in a previous post on this thread... spirituality is not just something that one does on Sunday. It should encompass all of one's life and being.
is rooted in a couple of areas. The first being that none of us come close to living up to Christ's standard or his teachings; all of us fall short and so I believe that when you quote from the Bible you are in a sense putting yourself on a pedestal and saying, "I am better than you are."
***Yes, that is a real danger. However, when used correctly it is the Bible/God that judges, not the person. Yes, we are told not to judge. But then we are also told to judge and that by Jesus himself. Jn 7:24 -- Context. Context. Context. We all judge. (Remember, Jesus telling the woman at the well - "go and sin no more" - kind of judgmental huh?) It is impossible to live without judging. The question to ask is are we judging righteously by Biblical (not our own) standards?
Anyway, if you care to continue this discussion on spirituality then please email me.
Take care and God bless.

I had thought about staying mute on this topic, but what the heck, I'm back from the caucuses and ready to dispense witty banter once more.
I think it's obvious that Jhris was kidding. I think it was a play on all the "Why are the rankings wrong?" posts, as well as a joke on 5a, whom we lovingly kid. To take something so meaningless and to explode is a complete overreaction. As I have said many times- it's a wrestling forum. Get over it.
That's not to say Jhris was right in what he said. It's wrong to brag about yourself in such a manner, even though I think it's obvious he was joking. People took him to be serious, and he should have been more obvious. But let's try to remember that he's an 18 year-old, and not exactly the most mature one at that.
And to quote the Bible on a wrestling forum? I'm all for the Bible and for Christianity, but I think we should pick and choose where we use it. For those of you who are soooooo pious, perhaps you should think of capitalizing "Bible" when you quote it. You know, because it IS the word of God and everything.

I think I've GOT IT! After watching and reading (or should I say selective reading, which I think we all have a choice of what we read, even on this forum) I think I have finally figured it out! Jhris Cennings is actually the alter ego of Chris Jericho of WWE fame. Now, this might be a stretch, because my mind is kind of fuzzy. WAIT … is that redundant? Any who, my theory is this ... all Jhris is trying to do is "brush up" on his character traits! If you remember the old WCW days and Chris Jericho you will notice the resemblance. Jericho was a bit of a braggart, extremely confident, and overall, a sweet, fun-loving, all be it obnoxious type of guy, as long as he felt the love of the masses! But let someone chastise him or let him slip on the popularity charts and Chris instantly played the "persecution card." Surely you remember the whining, "what about me ... what about Jericho" bit. As far as all the religious quotes, I have one that comes to mind. I believe it was John the Baptist that said, "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink." I might be wrong about John saying that. In fact, I'm pretty sure he didn't. Any who, I think Jhris is perfecting his future trade. He is trying to create an imagine and WE are just "clay in the masters hand." WAIT, did John the Baptist say that? Jhris, let me be the first one to buy one of your t-shirts. The “I Love Jhris” logo will be a hit. That is my theory ... it might be wrong ... but it is still MINE.

Randy Hinderliter...you are the man! that had to be one of the best posts I've read on any wrestling message board today, and there are many good posts on themat.com today. Good stuff, I'm writing wrestling stories for the Chapman paper, I may have to put funny things said off this site in the paper.

I agree with rocknraider completely. It is time to return to hilarity on wrestling and wrestling based topics.
So I will start--rocknraider, how DARE you say he was "just jking." Come on, man. It's one extra letter. One. One 0 between correct English and sounding like a 7th grade girl. I have seen the LOLs, the jks, and maybe the LMAOs, and it's time to stop. For the love of all that is holy, please grow some hairy ones and stop the girl writing.
And--a thread filled with Bible verses, capped off by a reference to WCW and WWE? Ahhh, Kansas.

Thanks Aaron! I just woke up from a nap because after my earlier post I got a bit of a headache. Actually that happens after I have those moments of “brilliance.” But, I couldn’t help but thinking (NO, I am not bragging and actually I do try) what Jhris is really all about. I recall Kurt Angle’s early WWF years as well as Brock Lesnar’s and how weak their repartee skills were. Clearly, Y2J … oops, I mean Jhris Cennings, is well ahead of the curve! Dang it, I am getting another headache and it's time to go to practice. geezzzzz
