Just wondering why there are no posts out here on heavyweight? I see many about the good wrestlers at most other weights, but nothing about heavyweights. I have watched many matches this year with good athletes and great matches. Has anyone seen anyone that stands out this year?

Because their parents don't. Usually when people get on here and ask about 8&U 58 or 12&U 105 it's because they want information on their kids' brackets around the State. If the parents, family, friends and/or Coaches of the heavy weight kids get on here and ask questions I'm sure there would be plenty of talk.

Heavy weights are hard to find in 8 and under. My son is one of the heavy weights and we have to ask every week if there is anybody for him to wrestle at the tournaments we signed up for. I do know that there is a good 8 and under heavy weight from Concordia, and Ottawa my son has wrestled them both, and took him to the 3rd round.
We did ask once were all the heavy weights were at 8 and under and we only received 1 response. So I am not sure if there would be a lot of response like was stated previously.

I wasn't talking about any certain age group. I just made an observation that there were no topics on many brackets above the 120, expecially the heavy weights. I watched a couple of great matches in Atchinson this weekend. The 14 and under bracket a wrestler from Jackson County and one from Hiwatha. They both were great. Another great match was 10 and under. One from Olathe and one from the Predators (not sure which club that is). Both moved great for big boys.

I was just thinking the same thing! I have a 12 yr old heavy weight. (He's about 170, so he's just barely a heavyweight). There aren't that many of them. Most tournaments we have gone to (and we have gone EVERY Sat) there just aren't many kids in his bracket. I also have another boy in the 10 yr (was)82 (now)85 brackets, and he ALWAYS has a full bracket of tough kids to wrestle.

I am going to mention this here too since it is related. I started a topic on the high forum (Enough football players wrestling?). It has received a couple of responses that people interested in this topic might find interesting.
