Should be a pretty fun tournament...little closer to home then the Minneapolis tourney the Irish are going to be at...don't be surprised to see the Swayz there since I know quite a few of the coaches and know that they bring quality teams even if they have a down year.

Oh no, if the Swayz is coming they better board up the windows and lock the doors.
Maybe you're not an ugly human, but a good looking ape.....with exceptional verbal skills.

An unscientific survey has determined that chewie and Jacob Marrs are one in the same. This would account for the number of references to how well Marrs is doing in said "chewie" posts and the detailed knowledge of Clay Center happenings. Chewie unmasked! Or at least shaven, or something like that.

It's a good thing Manhattan's JV doesn't go to this tournament any more. I guess they needed some more stiff competish...
Congrats, Aquinas! Great job, Hat Town! Salyer Rules!

No Chewie is not Jacob Marrs. This is my name. I hardly ever get on here. Chewie is just a huge wrestling (especially Clay Center wrestling) fan.

How dare you, Gran5w. MarrsBars does not need to get on here and brag about his accomplishments. (Though it can be debated whether beating a 5A wrestler is an accomplishment.... ) Besides, he's too busy grabbing junk when he wrestles to get on here and post. Congrats to you, BarrsMars, and good luck in the whole 'state championship' thing. But just so you know--my loins have never recovered from our 4-1 stallfest.

I feel bad for all of the great Clay Center (4A) wrestlers getting beat by all of those pitiful Bishop Carroll (5A) wrestlers the way they did. I hope that they are not compelled to commit suicide after such a humiliating loss. Also, someone should try to console the Goddard (6A) wrestlers before the do something after losing to Campus (5A). I sure hope that Turner (5A) does not top the Kansas Field at the Bobcat again. We could have a mass suicide situation. And if Carroll wins Newton again, especially if they best Norton, who knows what will happen. When reality sets in and we realize that the three best teams in the state might be in 5A, well we might as well just drop the other three classes because winning state in anything but 5A will not mean anything. Just a thought.

And if Manhattan does not beat Carroll at Newton, do you think that they should drop their program.

Truedat on the Campus thing, but Valley Center(5A) beat Derby(6A) so trade one 5A for the next. The point is, if it is such an embarrassment to lose to a 5A kid as Hat Town Garker says, then there should be a lot of embarrassed wrestlers out there.

See this is why we need a grand state for both individuals and teams due/als!!!
How great would it be to see 1-2-3A powers tangle with 4-5-6As?????
You'd have to kill to see that talent in one place!!!

You crazy toolbags. Geez. Of COURSE there are good wrestlers in 5a. It was a joke. (Note the graemlin.) Maybe if you guys weren't so balls to the walls serious all the time, you'd realize that I like to make funny jokes some times.
And WSEWC, since when does beating Derby count as a totally awesome accomplishment? What is this, 2001? The last time Derby had a sweet team was the 2001-2002 season, and they placed third. To quote Wayne's World, "Live in the now!" I'm not saying they're a bad team, I'm just saying they are no longer dominant. Just because a program has name recognition does not necessarily make them a "top 6A team."
The way I see it, the only way you can be good in wrestling in Kansas is 1) To be from Hat Town, 2) to be from 4A or 321a, 3) to be a private school, 4) to be from west of Topeka, or 5) to NOT be from Wichita (private schools excluded). Am I wrong? Probably. But are my views going to change? Nope. Will I continue making hilarious jokes and try to make you mad? My sources say yes.

Just took note that Shawnee Heights and Valley Center (both 5A) were the top two Kansas teams at the Colby Duals which featured Colby, Scott City, Garden City, Sante Fe Trail, Hoxie, etc. Also took note that Clay Center, already bested by Carroll (5A), beat Norton. Before I open my mouth and insert my foot making a statement that will cause Garker to put me on blast, I will simple ask you the readers, what should I make of this? Are times a changin? Or have they already changed but we did not take note. And if Manhattan does not win Newton, the world will be lost.
