Has anyone heard the situation about State next year? I am mainly thinking about 4-6A, because 321A is fine. Where will State be held? I have heard rumors of State being split up, and that the ExpoCenter in Topeka is out as a possibility. What have you all heard?

The 4A-5A-6A State Tournament will return to the Kansas Coliseum for at least one more year.

A lot of possibilities are being looked at past 2005. There is a strong desire in KSHSAA and the KWCA to go to four mats for each class (ala 3-2-1A this year), so any facility that will be found will have to accomidate that plan.

At the very least, it appears that 4A will be seperated, probably in Salina, but as for 6A and 5A, that's up in the air. There's still a possibility of the Expocentre, but that's up to the Shrine Circus. Ahern Fieldhouse has been kicked around, and there's even a chance of every class having its own site (like most other sports in the state).

The biggest problem is that we just don't have a lot of facilities in the state that could accomidate eight mats with enough seating in an area with enough hotel space.

Whatever happens, State is State, no matter where it is. It could be in a barn in Elkhart or Allen Fieldhouse, and it's still the same thing.
