Today our school is reading dr seus over the intercom to celebrate 100 years of dr seus. Whats up with that? Did anyone else hear this and did this take place at any other school in kansas? I like dr seus...just not over the intercom.

One would argue that Manhappiness has a much more stringent policy on literature (and spelling) than schools such as....oh I don't know...Abilene? Let's look at the line-ups: Hat Town: V/JV-- Prant/Wyler or Wyler/Prant Abilene: Nigel Isom/Lucas B Baker Hmm....looks to me like Hat Town's trophy is bigger in this category, too.

Sam I am, I do like green eggs and ham Speaking of Green Eggs and Ham, has anybody ever eaten at the Wagon Wheel in Marysville? I remember for regionals my junior year our coach took us there and the eggs were green and they had fruit cocktail with seeds and crap.

With apologies to Dr. Suess...
I could not rank them with a fox. I could not rank them in a box I should have ranked them number one and put my faith in Lippleman. But no, I doubted the city of Scott. I didn't think they'd get so hot. They weren't a top the 4A rankings afraid that they might do some tanking. So I left them ranked at number eight which isn't bad, but isn't great!
Silly me...
They wrestled well and placed a few and away the competition blew. Should I be fired for my ranking lapse? No you say? You say no way? because at least I didn't rank them last.
On behalf of all the non-believers, I salute the tight-wearin' Beavers!
Congrats on your state title run... next year you'll start out #1

Dr. Dewitt: Although the Doctor's time is gone his legacy, it seems, goes on. this work of yours is fine, I say, its poitive in a real nice way. It doesn't rip, or tear, or rend, in fact you've likely made some freinds.
the ranking guys have power you see to put wrestler A over Wrestler B and when they're wrong, we all can see "That pick was sheer stupidity!" And then we parry back or forth on wrestler A's comparitive worth to wrestler C, and on and on until the season's finally gone.
and so the season now is done and number 8 is number 1 and the guy that sorted out them all I hope will try again, next fall.
Thanks to mr. Dewitt, and Coach Lane, and other guys that have the interest and the nerve to put those targets up for all of us to shoot at. This bud's for you!!!

Bill and Mike--
In this day it is quite suprising To see such humility after realizing That mighty Scott City ruled the day, Much to poor old Nigel's dismay
Your efforts of ranking wrestlers from this state Is the cause of much heated debate Yet these blowhards don't realize this task Is enough to drive a man to the flask
"Rank Dawson!" shouts Nigel, in the weights so tiny Then when bad things happen, he gets all whiny "They don't deserve it!" shouts Lucas B Baker The #2 Abilene excuse maker
How wrong they are, as were you But at least you've had a bowl of humility stew You admit your mistakes and move right along While Nigel and Lucas claim, "The regions were wrong!"
While your poems were nice and humble and fine, It seems irking Nigel is what has fueled mine And though your poetry, Bill, sounds quite pretty Mine, I feel, is ever-so-witty.
***** This poem dedicated to Boach Clack and Gheodore Teisel.

Wow, three fine and witty tributes to Dr. Seuss.
Maybe you're not an ugly human, but a good looking ape.....with exceptional verbal skills.

... as for me, I can't wait till Nigel has his rhythmic response and urban (or Abilene) rap! Or, Lucas catches a beat and lays down a bit of street hip hop verse.

Season is over with some jubulation, All across the Kansas wrestling nation, Underrated Beavers were filled with elation, Scott City's the champs heard on the radio station
Then a group from KC-Turner, Turned 5a onto the burner, lit up the joint like the 4th of July, Pride on their faces and hands raised high
In 6a finally the bells of happiness rang, To the jolly old Manhattan gang, Individual title not won by Jhris, But still lead his team to championship bliss.
Then our friends across the plains in Hays. Cheered on their teams in many ways, Two teams rised above the crop, But day two ended with Norton the top.
Then there was Gilliland and Kriegbaum, 4th title given to wrestlers so great, Stading ovation from an apreciative state.
High School wrestling season is now done, Gone away like the setting of the sun, another year to wait to see, Sexy cheerleaders from Circle and Derby.
Some seniors though will now represent, At Nationals the State from which they were sent, with pride we will follow them through college, interested to see their improvements and growth of wrestling knowledge.
Now we must root on the kids that look up to us, By showing an example by not cursing or causing a fuss, support them because they believe in you, that's the wrestling family thing to do.
While some of you oltimers will step back on the mat, sipping lemonaide is where I'll be at, Because unlike my man Randy Hinderliter, I'm a lover and not a fighter.
So with wrestling all around nearly done, May best of luck find everyone, A family of wrestling going so strong, This is far from a bye or a so long.
So until our paths shall cross again with glee, May joy surround the greatest of all greats, THE KANSAS WRESTLING FAMILY!
