This coming weekend is the final Centennial League Tournament as we know it today. After this year Topeka High, Topeka West, Junction City and Manhattan will be joining the mix. In the meantime here are a few questions to ponder:
1) Can anybody end Emporia's ridiculously long streak of league championship? (I doubt it)
2) How close will the Malloy v. Kosko match in 171 be? (Malloy has a knack for for close ones and has yet to win a league crown)
3) Can Sean Hoffman compete against Heffron after coming back from an injury? (Hoffman wrestled for the first time this weekend after having shoulder surgery)
4) Which team is going to get last place, Hayden or Highland Park?

1)I would have to say that Shawnee Heights(eventhough wrestling bad at the County Tourney) and Seamen have a good chance on beating Emporia 2)A close match! The last time they wrestled malloy dominated him. Domer maybe you need to come and watch malloy wrestle this year because he is not making all of his matches close like he did when you went to Shawnee Heights. 3)Eventhough Sean may be a little out of shape, it is still Sean. He gets so pumped for a match that he can't even stand still. If I was Heffron I would watch out. 4)Ridiculous question. It isn't mature enough in high school let alone college(i.e. Notre Dame) to ask such a dum question.

1)Shawnee Heights and Seamen really have no chance this year, maybe you are having trouble understanding how pumped Emporia gets for the League Tournament 2)Malloy didn't DOMINATE him, he beat him by five points, but I do still think that Malloy will get his league championship 3)Heffron most likely will get a league title, because there is a major difference between wrestling at heavyweights and wrestling at 215, Heavyweights don't ussually do a whole lot in a match and he will most likely have some serious trouble with conditioning. 4)Plain ol' don't care.

Bulldog, if you knew anything about me you would know that I am all for Shawnee Heights wrestling. I know Malloy is having a great year, and I have first hand experience as to how pumped up Sean gets for matches. However, the score books shows that Malloy has had a number of close matches already this year. That doesn't take away from the fact that he is still probably the best 171 in the state. My coments were not intended as slams, I was merely hoping to provoke some conversation. Seeing as how it is impossible for me to come back and support my team in the gym, I try to keep as on top of things here as I can. Finally, I admit my final question was a bit tactless. However, here is my reasoning for asking it. I know that Emporia and Seaman will be in the Top three. Shawnee Heights and Washburn Rural will be close for the third spot as well. I know several wrestlers on both Highland Park and Hayden's team, I was wondering if anybody could predict how they would finish. I was simply trying to gauge the top to bottom finishing order of the tournament. Excuse me for my improper phrasing of the question, however I do not feel that it was entirely ridiculous.
Now, seeing as I have explained my self to you (although I am not sure why I found that necessary) perhaps you would humor me by explaining yourself. I find your coments in the reply to my fourth question to be both an attack on me personally and my choosen instituion of education. Your perspective that my question was immature is one thing, but to bring the credibility of my school into question is something that I will simply not tolerate. Your replies lead me to believe that you think I am both ignorant and immature, which I assure you I am not. I never make a post unless I am aware of the people I am talking about. That being said, who are you?

To: Who am I... Hoffman beat me... I beat Heffron... ? Hoffman probably would have placed higher in 215 last year than he did at heavyweight. Don't be too overconfident.

Aren't you Heffron, "who am i"? If so, just say I will beat him; there's no need for the third person.
You better watch out, someone's catching up to you.

The 171 championship match will be a good one to watch. Earlier this year Malloy beat Kosko 7-2, but it was only Kosko's third match of the year. I predict Kosko winning a low scoring close one like 3-1 or 5-2.

I don't care if it was Kosko's 3rd match of the year, Malloy dominated him last time, no question, had a couple sweet double legs on him that Kosko should have nightmares about. Kosko will be lucky not to get beat worse than last time. I got all my marbles on Malloy....

Malloy will probably win the League tournament, but I will have to say that Josh Krahn will give Kosko a good match. As for Emporia winning another title that is the only place I can think of where we cheer for Shawnee Heights and they cheer for Seaman wrestlers. Last time I watched them wrestle Topeka High they did not look very good at all.And the two teams with the best shot of winning this over Emporia will be working our - - -es off this week in the practice room.

Heffron i dont know if you remember, but 2 years ago Hoffman pinned your older brother. And he wasnt an ordinary 275 pounder. If you ever saw one of his matches you would know that he kept moving the whole time and pinned 90% of his guys. Its going to be a good match but you better watch out because hes in pretty good shape and is ready for someone who talks in third person all the time.

Heffron has an excellent memory, and he does not remember this match, however there was probably also a very large weight factor there as Heffron's brother only weighed 205 lbs..

Heffron is fully aware that you know who he is, he's just trying to prove a point that it is stupid in the first place that you cared enough to point it out.
