I'm glad to see that a few people are starting to get some recognition like Lee Larson and AD Mayes.
So this kid is putting on his shoes right, and his mom says, honey you're putting your shoes on the wrong feet, and the little kid says, no mom these are my feet

I received these rankings via email and they were dated January 26th. It appeared that they were sent to all 6A coaches by I'm not sure. Coach Newcomb made some updates after last weekend's competition and sent them out again dated February 2nd. On the top of the form it says Official Ranking Issue 4. I told him several people were asking about them in this forum and he told me he wasn't sure why they weren't posted with KWCA yet. That's why I decided to put them here. rhill

Interesting, Brian Ast(Emporia) is not ranked. Not criticizing, i just find it odd. Did he lose a few matches to the above mentioned guys?

When ever the rankings come out my coach shows me them. I tell my dad about them and they still are the same as weeks ago. In 103lb. weight class Patterson is ranked 2nd when Creekmore (ranked 4th) beat Patterson.

Regarding the questions from Rockraider & Topeka Wrestler, those are good observations. I know Coach Newcomb tries to make the rankings as accurate as possible. The only thing I would suggest is have your coach relay that information to Coach Newcomb. It may be that the Coach from Emporia is not interested in having Brian ranked and has not sent in information. In that case the ranker has to rely on what others send in or what he can get my searching the results. rhill

I was just curious what Brian Shilling has done so far this year. I see that he is ranked 2nd @ 135, but I haven't been able to find any records or results that list him.

I guess kyle potter(Manhattan) being ranked is false too. That Wagner scallawag now has his spot.... Now does that automatically get Wagner ranked or does he have to show a little more than one good tournament to be ranked?

Just a new perspective on the team rankings. Rather than just picking the top teams, if the point system for ranked wrestlers (10 for first, 9 for second, etc...)is used the team rankings are the following (I only added the teams ranked in the top ten, but some others obviously would get into that group based on the criteria).
1)Manhattan-79 pts. (Minus Potter)
2)Emporia-58 pts.
3)Junction City-38 pts.
4)Hutchinson-35 pts.
5)Garden City-29 pts.
6)Goddard-28 pts.
7)STA-27 pts.
8)Wichita Heights-24 pts.
9)Derby-19 pts.
10)BV NW-8 pts.
