Backing up Horinek's strength and quickness is the fact that he was in the top 8 or so shot putters in the state last year as a sophmore, plus he is an excellent football player, and he has athletics in his blood. This man is an all out animal, and I think he and strait may meet, and have a great match at the finals.

I dunno about you LES. A 30 or so year old man being a moron on the i net! You made no since when you said that horinek has a great practice partner in the wrestling room! We have to coaches in our program that have wrestled in college and placed at state! That made no sense what you said by he has got a great partner!

kyle strait wins this hands down. it may be close. but he is a very talented, VERY STRONG, and well conditioned wrestler. i would even say he is one of the best athletes in high school sports.

Sorry ehilt, I'll try to fill in the blanks for you.

Given that Belleville's entry at the Beloit Tournament only showed two individuals in the line-up that weighed over 140 pounds (Mitchell @ 171 and Strait @ 215), I made an observation that made me feel as though Horinek's practice room partners might give him an edge.

Not only does Atwood have some great athletes in the upper weights for Horinek to butt heads with everyday, but they also have a very credentialed coach of greater size and similar strength to that of Horinek to compete with every day. Which has to be a luxury for Horinek.

No slight intended to the Belleville crew (Coach Weatherhead and staff), as I bet they are well credentialed and talented too. They would have to be to go toe-to-toe with a mountain of a man like Strait every day.

Right or wrong, I felt as though that extra practice room talent might favor Horinek's chances - so I posted that thought.

And, yes, you are right. Sainty does have two outstanding coaches for practice room partners. I think the world of both of them.

And lk123, - "yup, that lurning and those pieces of paper 'dem folks down ta Hayes guv to me did help me find wurk."

If I'm not mistaken, I think that they're will be more than a two man bracket at state at 215lbs. I don't think it is gonna be a round robin between Horenik and Strait, I think they're will be others. Call me crazy, but I think they're are other contenders for the title besides these two men. And it might be an upset, but stranger things have happened...

its very true that there are others in this weight that are good wrestlers. but i have talked to strait a couple times this year and i don't think that they are as detrmined to win state than he is.
