With the summer season coming up, why not bring along a great novel about high school wrestling to read between matches. The book is called, PINNED.

"I recommend this book for any who know and appreciate the sport. Read it!"--Gene Mills, U.S. Olympic Team

"I recommend it for teenage wrestlers and anyone who enjoys an interesting storyline about life's challenges."--Ken Chertow, U.S. Olympic Team

I wrote this novel with two objectives in mind: To offer wrestling fans something fresh and interesting to read, and to put the sport of amateur wrestling in a positive light. I believe I have done both.

Signed copies of the book are available for $15 by calling 800-653-9400, or the novel can be ordered at Amazon.com!

Sincerely,

Alfred C. Martino

Don't get this book confused with Pins written by Jim Provenzano. Pins is possibly the least favorite book I have ever opened. Alfred, Mike Chapman was telling me about your book and had nothing but praise for it. I look forward to reading it.

Thanks, Mike! Yes, I think PINNED is much different than Pins, Wrestling Sturbridge, Takedown and, even, Vision Quest. And, yes, I appreciate Mike Chapman's kind words.

Mike is a good guy and for those that don't know he is probably the most knowledgeable wrestling historian on the planet. We spent quite a bit of time talking about the book in Reno along with our discussion about my review of Troy, the movie. Big mistake to tell him I hated the movie, but I am now reading Achilles and loving it.

Mike said Pinned was possibly the best wrestling novel ever written. I wanted to order a copy, but forgot the title, so I am glad you have posted this. I'll be calling the number shortly and ordering a copy. By the way, for those who are reading impaired, it seems as my memory tells me that there is an audio version of the book available. Is that true? If so it would be a great listen for people between drives and or while at tournaments blocking out the noise.
