If anyone knows of any rooms in topeka or lawrence we really could use 2 rooms for this weekend coming up. thanks.

I would suggest you call the Topeka CVB Monday morning. They should be keeping a list of where rooms are still available. However, I will get a hold of them on Monday too and have them update the list and then I will post it.
For all the clubs who are holding more rooms than you need - PLEASE release them Monday!! As you can see from several posts, there are individuals looking for rooms!!

It is 10:30 on Monday and I just talked with the Topeka CVB and this is what they have found so far. I'll keep it updated as they let me know. I do not know much about these motels, so don't hold us responsible, just passing along the information.

I have 1 room at the Sleep Inn Suite on Wanamaker in Topka available. Our club had one room free up and we are taking that room, so we still have the reservation at Sleep Inn if someone needs it. Please call Stephanie at 913-238-9869.

CROFT, WE RELEASED THE ROOMS YESTERDAY AT 4:00 PM WHILE WE WERE AT OTTAWA. I IMAGINE IF THEY DIDNT HAVE ANY THEY HAVE GIVEN THEM OUT ALREADY SORRY

Just a small warning about the Plaza Inn...when I called a long time ago, I thought I was contacting the Plaza Hotel, right beside the Expo Center. That's not the same hotel. When I spoke to one of the other hotels in Topeka, they said that they would not suggest staying at the Plaza Inn, and would never send anyone to that hotel. Just a little FYI.

We have been staying at the Baymont in Lawrence for several years now. We like staying in Lawrence better than Topeka. It's only 20 minutes down I-70. The Jayhawks are out of town in the NCAA tournament so it should be quite in Lawrence.
