103: Clay Madden Norton over Shaun George Sabetha
112: Shaumburger Hoxie over Lioyd St. Francis
119 Tait Weatherbee TMP ? Baker Hoxie (who wins this one?)
125 James Annon Norton over Tyrel Spielman Hoxie
130 Mat Gilliland Hoxie over Lambotte Rossville
135 Schippers Hoxie over Badsky Oberlin
140 Jeremy Moris Beloit over Jason shippers Hoxie
145 Johnson Norton over Pyle sabetha
152 Mat Heslet Rossville over Brett Hillie Trego
160 Sprigg Norton over Campbell Hoxie
171 Ryan Augustine Ellis over Bobby Dennis Okley
189 Tanner Schmidt Atwood over someone?
215 Jeff Horinek Attwood over Kyle Strait Bellville
275 Sprigg norton over annyone

Norton 5 champs
Hoxie 4 champs
Attwood 2 champs

and here is the kicker, i believe that both hoxie and norton are capable of quallifying 12-13 wrestlers for the tourney!!! and in light of the close race between the two teams on the championship side it will all come down to who comes through on the back side. you can harass me ridicule me and hang me by dental floss attached to my nostrils from the ceiling of the FHSU collocium, but i pick norton as the 321A state champs (spelling, whole post?)

Pretty tought to predict finals, when you don't know how the regionals are gonna get matched up. Why do you think Norton is gonna get ahead of Hoxie when they haven't 3 out of 3 tournaments this year.

So you dont feel that anybody from Hoxie can beat anybody from Norton. Even though all of the matches have went back and forth all year long. Especially the madden-farber match and the spillman-annon match, as well as the sprigg-campbell. They have all split there matches or the other is one up or something. I just dont think that you can automatically give those matches to the Norton kids, kind of biased dont you think. On the rest of th picks you are pretty right on with what I was thinking. Except for the 140 match, Its been close all year except for the last meeting. I think Morriss and his stall tactics are gonna catch up with him, and schippers will pull it out. Anyways its going to be a real exciting weekend in Hays, cant wait for it.

no i actually do think that "anybody from Hoxie can beat anybody from Hoxie" (have you ever tried to wrestle a match against yourself, it is alot easier to loose than to win) and i from what i saw on tape from p-burg i do think most of those norton kids will win and with the two teams being in different regionals this year, who knows alot of them might meet in the semi's, the only time when farber beat madden was when he was deathly ill, annon leads 2-1 and cambell has never beaten Sprigg. however i am not automatically giving those matches to those kids, they are just my(understandibly biast) oppinions. what does everybody else think?

Yea hoxie will take 12-13 wrestlers to state, they dont have that many good teams at their regional. Norton wont take near that many as they are in the hardest regional in 321A. The state champ will be decided by how many qualify from each team.

bigkneepads 4, at 189 you said schmidt and somebody?? How about that somebody named Phillip Lyons, who by the way placed 3rd at 215 last year, and is 24-1 going into regionals. Or Mayby that somebody? (Lucas Scott) might knock off Schmidt before he even gets to Lyons. I hope Schmidt and Lyons meet in the Semis, then you will KNOW who that somebody is!!!!!!!!!

at 145 i think it will be a drennan vs pyle rematch. i think drennan's lost to luedke only fueled his fire, to A get in better shape, and B. take no one lightly, with that being said we will find out when the two meet this weekend at regionals.

To Wrestlerfan4ever:
Hypothetical Question:
What if Luedke beats Drennen, and then Johnson beats Luedke, who is better?
Looks Like 1) Johnson 2) Luedke 3) Drennen
Since Luedke is 4A, I will go with Johnson Vs Pyle at Hays Championship finals. Drennen will wind up in the consolation brackets & RIP
Zinger: Engelbert could screw up everything
PS: Who are the two that you refer to that will meet at regionals: Drennan,Engelbert, and Johnson are at Phillipsburg. Pyle is at St. George me thinks.

To Dalefish:
personally i think Pyle will win the bracket, but to answer your question johnson has been beat by englebert and when johnson did beat him it was barely. drennan just beat englebert like 8-2 or something like that if we are using common oppnents, why can drennan kill englebert and johnson loses or barely beats him, just as you are using the luedke match against drennan. i am using the englebert matches against johnson, the two i am refering two is johnson and drennan at regionals we will see who is better i know the winnner of that will be the one to go against pyle.

It could be the winner of the P-burg regional and Pyle in the semis!! That would be a shame, but also one heck of a match.

PS: why Norton has a better shot at Hoxie at state as opposed to the other Tournaments, at a tournament like State, the points get spread around a little more. If Norton gets some help from other teams, and preforms better than they have in the past out the back they have a shot, but right now Hoxie has got to be the front runner.

It's much more accurate to compare common opponents when one person beats the common opponent and one person loses to the common opponent, than when you compare scores. Engelbert beating Johnson the first time was a huge fluke, Johnson beating Luedke and Luedke beating Drennan were no flukes. Drennan is strong, but when I have seen him wrestle, it appears that he relies on his great strength too much and not enough on technique.

Dylan Loyd from St. Francis beat Younkin at the NWKL tournament a couple of weeks ago. This is his only loss I believe.

All of your predictions for state are pretty good, but I don't think that Jeff Horinek will win state at 215 because he blew his shoulder out last week in practice. I was supposed to wrestle him Friday night at the St. Francis vs. Atwood dual, but he was hurt and I heard that he is out for the rest of the season. However, I haven't talked to him about it so I don't know if it is totally true. If he is out for the rest of the season, that is really too bad because he is a great competitor and it would have been fun to both watch him and compete against him.
