I have always liked Original the best. Since my wife introduced me to Popeye's I have quit going to KFC and always go to Popeye's for my fried chicken fix

Always had a hankerin for Original. Then the new honey barbeque is out of this world. KFC also has pretty darn good Cole Slaw. Actually my first ever job was at a KFC, had to walk 2 miles to the place. Worked there off and on for over a year there. A lot of good and bad stories, from the time I chased down and beat the fool out of a purse snatcher to the time I had to quit because the grease was eating the flesh off of my hands. I still like their chicken but it is not my favorite.
Now as to other places; in my neighborhood we have the largest Church's in the country and the only one in the good ol' USA that has a buffet, or at least that is what they say. But my favorite, well the French Indian in me has a hankerin for Cajun and always has. Soooooo that being said, Popeyes is the place. Usually in the ghetto and ours is not exception. Had to take care of one of my boys on Wednesday at Popeyes who got jumped on by a guy driving by. Popeyes in our neighborhood now knows they got someone to watch their back. Would probably go so far as to say, there probably isn’t a forum member that has more fast food and/or other types of restaurants within a mile of their house as I do. We probably also have more restaurants that speak Spanish, Vietnamese, or some other language as anyone.

I think if you want good fried chicken everybody should eat at the Brookville Inn in Abilene. It will cost you a bit but the biscuits, gravy and mashed potatoes, and all the fixings are worth it. I'm not even a big fried chicken fan and I like that place.
