After reading through the forum I read about kids not making weight, regionals being poorly ran, coaches getting in trouble(or should have), and kids getting DQ'd. Does anyone have anything good to say??

I have never watched Neil Erisman (145lbs Desoto) until Saturday. He is the most impressive FRESHMAN I have watched wrestle, EVER. If you have never watched Neil, try and watch one of his matches at the state tourney. He is a kid we will hear alot more about in the future.

Ya Erisman is a BA, i think he will be the next undefeated 4 timer. I watched him pin Stirling from spring hill, and stirling is a great wrestler, so i think Erisman could just dominate state for the next four years.

It should be Luedke vs. Erisman in the finals, that will be a very good match.

Richard--that is great but it is not uncommon to see some good freshman at 103. Ware, Jones, to name a couple that come to mind. Erisman is 145 and spoken in the same sentence as Luedke. That is unreal!! Has there ever been a 4 timer who won state his freshman year at 145lbs or higher?

Gerrad Speer of Scott City could have been in the category but was unable to go to state as a freshman because of a knee injury (160 I believe). So he just won it the next 3 years.

Ihave seen Erisman and the kid from Holton wrestle, I think his name is Strahn. These two are very talented and mature wrestlers for their age. It is going to be a lot of fun watching these guys in the years to come.
