Any comments on Hoxie? I think they have a really strong team this year and can take state.

Hoxie had 3 in the finals, not 2. Spillman at 119, who beat Orozco in the finals. Gilliland at 125 who beat Lambotte in overtime. And Farber at 145, who lost in finals.

I think that Pruitt from Ellsworth won... I am almost positive, but don't quote me on it... I would have to say that I am very proud of Hoxie's boys. I go to school with these boys and I see how dedicated they are to the sport. For Charlie Ochs to wrestle after dislocating his shoulder, which he is having surgery on Tuedsay and Jason Schippers to wrestle with a broken hand and pinky. Everyone said that Hoxie wouldn't make it this year, and that Oakley was going to give Effingham a run for their money... but I have to say I am so proud of my Hoxie wrestlers and they did an awesome job... GOOD JOBS GUYS!!

This reply is for Oakley Fan who indicated that while Hoxie did well that he/she thought a few of the Hoxie Wrestlers were just too cocky and has apparently decided to delete his/her comments from the forum.
I guess my question would be - which Hoxie kid doesn't have a right to be cocky? Gilliland - a sophomore with two state championships? Matt or Jason Schippers - sophomores with 2 semi-final appearances and 2 state medals each? Charlie Ochs a sophomore with two state medals? Doug Campbell who medalled in his first state tournament as a sophomore at 152? Cody Farber who had a great season and pinned an incredible wrestler from ACCHS before making it the finals?
I understand there is a difference between confidence and arrogence, but I also think that most successful wrestlers have to be confident in their ability. I would also contend that each of them has the resume' to back up their confidence.
