Biting my lip. But I will say that these matches do matter. We have all of the league teams in the regional. These really matter big time for some of the guys. I was hoping Espeseth would keep the wins going, as he lost earlier in the year to the Clay Center guy and would probably have been the 3rd seed behind him and the Holton hwt. Now he's looking more along the lines of 4th and facing the #1 ranked guy in state on the same side of the bracket.
Our guys need to wake up and get with it. Marysville had just as many opens as we did, they just bested us tonight. Looks like a lot of pins happend, that's another area we must avoid is being pinned. I'm just baffled right now and beyond words. It is really a sad day in Chapman. To say we are a better tournament team is one thing...but to have the talent we have and not be able to get over the hump with 2 opens in dual against the likes of Marysville and Wamego is disheartening from an alumni standpoint.
I hope these guys are ready for this week when they go to Concordia for a Dual Tournament. I want to see the team that beat Council Grove and Herington out there, not the one that lost to Marysville and Wamego. Irish you are way better than this. Congrats to the Bulldawgs and Red Raiders (much improved and great administration support)....looks like Chapman #15 ranking isn't earned just yet. WORK ETHIC is needed for some of the guys in that room.
