What was the score of the Malloy, Steinmetz match. I heard that Malloy won, but can anybody verify this?

Malloy beat me 3-1 in overtime...he got a nice deep double leg and took me down.

I wish all wrestlers could see the dignity and honor in steinmetz171's response and learn from this. Good Luck next week Mr. Steinmetz.

umm why are you talking, thats the kind of crap that gives this forum a bad name.

Dignity and honor ..... sounds like you just described Mike ..... pretty classy when a wrestler answers a fairly put question with a straightforward answer about a defeat by crediting his opponent instead of making excuses .... some on this forum would do well to follow his example ..... as for Mike just wrestling? .... What planet are you from?

Darn, another comment to blacking the sky. Togam123 you have 69 post give or take one and Mike has 18 to 20. In all of your 69 post, you have never commented on your wrestling, winning or any defeats. So I would say by your post, you have neither,(dignity or honnor),and maybe you never wrestled, well at a level that would of earned you any respect from fellow peers,SO maybe YOU should of stayed off the forums,(69 post),worked harder,(wrestling),and reviewed your post that seems like you just spoke of yourself for the first time. I saw the Malloy/Steinmetz match from the front row and have to say it is unbelievable how much Blake and Mike have improved their wrestling and intensity level since last year. This was an action packed match with both going at it full bore the entire 6 minutes. Mike would hit a deep fireman's and Blake would fight it off. Blake would take a good shot and Mike would fight it off as well. The low score during regulation was not because of now offense.

Most of the match was on the feet with both working for position, being agressive, and taking shots. It was 1-1 going into overtime and Mike was right. Blake hit a deep double leg to end one of the best matches I have ever seen. Hats off to both quality wrestlers who will give Kansas fans another great match if they meet up in the finals in Wichita. 171 has 3 of the best wrestlers in Kansas in Malloy, Steinmetz, and Payne.

George Sponsel of BC is pretty good as well, should make for a very exciting semi-final round in 5a 171 if everything goes as expected... of course we know from this weekend that things don't alwasy go as planed.
