Giving an OW award at a Kid's tournament is unrealistic and not meaniful. If you want to give a most pins award, so be it. At least a most pins award means what it says. An OW award at the higher level events (college, etc) by a coaches vote. The difference is that you have only one division with 10-12 weights and so the coaches have a reasonable chance of seeing many matches to determined who wrestled the best in that tournament. In kids tournaments, we have all kinds of biases, geographical, personalities, etc as well as too many kids to watch to make an informed decision by voting so consequently most are awarded by falls in least time. A pin is definately a big part of the sport but just because a kid pins all his opponents doesn't necessarily mean that he was the most outstanding that particular day. What about a kid who didn't get scored on for the entire day in a tough bracket. Often these type of wrestlers dominate their bracket even more than the pin king who has one really good move that no one can counter. Just my thoughts.
