We are using this a one our fundraisers for next year. Thought some other wrestling teams might be interested putting a team together for our tournament. I know this is around many graduations so it may not work for many, but I thought I would offer the invitation to the wrestling community. Send an email and I can attach a word document with the registration form with it.

"No head shots will be allowed"
I don't think my aim is good enough anymore to guarantee no head shots.

Going along with the fundraiser subject. What other types of events or activities do people use to raise money for their programs?

Actually sounds like a lot of fun but you need to use official dodge ball rules which includes head shots, and of course reentry on a catch and other things. Now that is the funniest thing I've seen today.

Gocke- After how I felt for the week after the old timers, I am having my doubts about dodgeball. Is there an over 30 division, or can we just use bigger balls.

Actually I have a 6th rule - always go after the lazy-eyed players first.

I remember loving to smack the fool out of people in dodge ball. Unfortunately, I seldom won, but I loved the headshots and also aiming at other parts of the body where a great deal of pain could be inflicted. If we can't go to the dodge ball tourney due to the tourney next weekend, it would be nice to see another one done someplace else. Frankly, I don't think that the $25 entry per team is enough money. I would have charged like $100 per team and then had nice awards for the top three teams.

No 30 and over division this time boys. We do have a nice little challenge for the tournament. Our police officers have formed a team and as you can well imagine everyone wants a shot at them.
Another good moto is "aim low"

I will be using my black and blue balls, Gocke. I am looking forward to hitting the men in blue. You guys ought to have players pay a bounty for that opportunity.

There should be a Grand Single Champion after you crown a team champion, send out all the members of that team (including alternates and put out only 4 balls and have a free for all with a last man standing Grand Champ.

Do it like tournaments do if you want to enter more than 1 style, charge an additional 5 bucks for the individual dodge ball game.

I like the ultimate champ idea, that way I have a chance to hit Decker with a ball. Heck, I might give him a head shot from behind anyway. My aim is not that good.

What you do is do the old fasioned way of placing the balls on the half court line. Then have like 1 ball per 3 people in the grand champ game. Once you are down to so many people like 3, keep them all within the boundaries of half court.

It's May 21st at Wellington High School, so we haven't had it yet.
We have some great booble head trophies and cool t-shirts to the winners.
2nd place gets about 40 dollars worth of coupons and 3rd gets about 30 dollars in local restranuant food.
Still have about 10 openings if anyone is interested.
