Whoa!! Looks like a tough one hear- what are everybody;s thoughts on who would place in the top 6 year.. Might have been one of the most competive weights in the state this past year.

If youngkin can get down again, or Lloyd, If may take a pretty good hoos to thump'em. The trouble with predicting the light weights is that
a little development takes those kids right up into the middole weights.

I think 5A would have taken the top 3 places, but this was a very tough weight class in all classes except for 4A. I don't think 4A would have placed anyone.

5A might have taken 4-5 of the placements in this class.

5A 112 was tough. But maybe not as far ahead of the pack as you indicate.

Schamberger (3rd 3-2-1A) and Nothern (2nd 5A) was an overtime match in the quarters at Beloit.

But Schamberger was only third best in the NWKL - placing behind Loyd and Younkin - who each held several victories over and no losses to Schamberger on the season.

And Warta was the 103 lb state champ a season the year before last.

The first round match-ups between 321A and 5A provided in this hypothetical bracket could all be pretty tightly contested.

Another measuring stick would have been the Hays Prairie Senior Invitational - with Loyd, Younkin, Warta, Eddie and Elliot (Haysville) all being in the same bracket.

Had heard Loyd wrestled while ill that weekend, so you might have to discount his performance a bit. Does anyone have the results for that bracket?

Not saying that 5A is not capable of success in this bracket, but do feel the bracket is pretty competitive.

4A's level of competition was likely hurt a bit when Bell did not make weight at regionals and when Clay Center's Caldwell was seriously injured in a car wreck during the final week of the regular season.

Caldwell is a sophmore for clay center that last year was in a car accident prior to our dual with concordia and messed up his leg pretty bad. He took 2nd at Newton and was a favorite to do well at regionals and state.

Maybe you're not an ugly human, but a good looking ape.....with exceptional verbal skills.

Les...at the Prairie Sr. Classic...Younkin 1st; Elliott 2nd; Warta 3rd; and Deed from Goodland 4th. Eddie and Lloyd failed to place. Now that's a tough weight class
