Kyle Strait of Bellville is not only a good wrestler, but he probably one of the most humble polite guys, that I've ever met

G spot, thanks for the compliment directed towords my brother. Horinek is an outstanding wrester and from what I observed he is an all around good guy. Huge props to my brother Kyle, he has only competed in two years of high school wrestling, huge accomplishment. There is no excuses being made though Kyle gave it 110% and left it all on the mat, Congrats to Horinek and my brother.

Yeah, I told Strait good luck and he actually had a conversation with me and asked me about how I did this year, most people would just grunt thanx and turn away.

May I ask why Kyle only competed in two years of high school wrestling, just wondering? I agree with the fact that Horinek and Strait are two very good wrestlers and two very great people.

If no one read my post and read the part about the 215# weight class, I'll repeat. I think that it was very weak this year. There were no dominant wrestlers like there has been in the last few year with Reamer, Clouse, and Staab. Anyone of those three guys would have stuck Horinek and Strait. Strait and Horniek are built and look to be very strong, but don't seem to have the wrestling experience. And with only 2 years for Kyle, that is a true fact. I'm not sure how many years Jeff has been wrestling, but his matches and style seemed to miss something. Hopefully next year there can be a stud or two back in 215.

I wish I could reach out and slap you. Horinek was as dominant as you can get in 321A. Didn't lose a match to a 321A'er all year. His only losses as far as I know were to Jordan Bedore, who is a supreme badass. He techfalled Fred Pratt in the finals at the Norton tournament and that impressed that crap out of me.

Honky57, you almost win the title of dumbest post on the forum right behind klye_dub#2. Horinek has been wrestling since has was knee high to an ant. They are two very dominating wrestlers, maybe not staab quality, but Horinek has a year left.

bub, my brother had a s*** load of knee injuries starting in Jr high. It took about two years worth of operations to get him well enough to compete. Noone has any idea how hard he has worked to get where he is, I was a state champ and had no where near the work ethic Kyle has, It was a hard pill so swallow (Kyle loosing) but as I said earlier he left it on the mat and lost to an awesome wrester. Danny Strait

They said kyle had two years of high school experience not wrestling experience he has been wrestling for a long time. Like his brother said his knee injuries kept him out his first two years of high school. Were most would have quit kyle kept working and accomplished a lot. Anyone who would say anything bad about him has obviously never talked to him. Great wrestler and better guy.

I'm not doggin on how hard kyle or jeff work. I'm just sayin from my experience and what i've seen, neither wrestler has the dominance that i've seen. And if i remember right, horinek is a senior, cause i was talkin to someone from out west about what he's doin next year. he said something about ftball. But if he is a junior, he needs to work on the finess and he could be really good and needs to get a more mass of a body like kyle had.

kyle strait and jeff horinek both deserved that state championship. i know since strait's knee operations, he has been the hardest working athlete i have ever seen in my life. and i have been around a lot of athletes. great job to both of them for a hell of a match.

I am not saying that Jeff isn't a good guy, cause he is, but I just met Kyle Strait and talked with him for the first time this weekend. But Horenik deserved the title just as much as anyone else. He's a good guy.

Does anyone know what Kyle Strait is doing for college? Does he plan or wrestling, I don't know anything about his football career, but he looks like he could be one helluva player.

Kyle signed a letter of intent to play football at garden city...but he is considering his options. He told me he has several schools in mind that he might wrestle for. Whatever he does he'll give it 110% and be great at it. Good luck Kyle.
