2 tournaments 2 days in Beautiful Tulsa Oklahoma Area.
Time is short and if you are a middle school, 15 & Under, Division 5 (not 16 on 9/1/05) or a High School Wrestler, Division 6. You are invited to go with and participate with the Kansas Wizzers of Oz Wrestling Team
If you are a 15 & Under Wrestler, if wrestling Jr. High (you can be a freshman, possibly sophomore in high school for this tournament, age is what matters) you can wrestle in both the Jr. High and the High School Division, meaning that you get in 4 tournaments in 2 days.
We will be leaving as a team Next Friday at noon, to weigh in, in Catoosa, OK. Wrestlers will wrestle that night, spend the night (lodging is taken care of and no cost for those who don’t mind staying with a family, together as a team), get up and wrestle the next day at Broken Arrow in the Joe Zamora Classic. Sign up costs for both tournaments is a total of $30, unless you wrestle more than one division in any one tournament, then it is an extra $15 per division. There will be a minimum cost to help with expenses, (likely around $10 per person). You do not need a USA Card for these tournaments. Repeat, you do not need a USA Card for these tournaments. You will need headgear, and taped or covered shoe laces.
For those that cannot go with the team, but want to wrestle with the team, you are welcome to do so, but you must communicate with me prior to Wednesday Evening, 8:00 PM November 9. Persons going down as a part of the Wizzers team will be given a 2 pound allowance at the Broken Arrow Tournament on Saturday. To my understanding, only the Wizzers are being given this allowance.
I will be sending in registration Wednesday Evening, 8:05 PM for both tournaments for the Wizzers. I will need to have names, age, division, and weight wrestling. Again, realize that 15 & under can wrestle in both Jr. High and High School. If you sign up to wrestle, at 8:06 you are responsible for the costs of registration for your entries.
These two tournaments are expecting to have some of the best in America, including possible entries from Broken Arrow Oklahoma, El Reno Oklahoma, Bishop Lynch, Texas, and numerous other areas. It is possible to get in all of this with minimum out of pocket expenses. We will need others to drive, and we are asking each of the wrestlers to help minimally with the driving expenses, again, the lodging if staying in homes is free. We would ask wrestlers to bring thank you cards for our hosts.
I have started receiving some requests but am encouraging all wrestlers to get me information as soon as possible. I also would appreciate any others who would be willing to have some go with you and help with transportation. Note to get the allowance, and free lodging, you have to go down with the team. Check out the links to the team. If registering on your own, please designate if you are a part of the Wizzers team or not. It will be much easier if we register as a team however.
