Has there ever been a guaranteed 4-timer going into their freshman year? I know nothing is for sure, but who has been destined to be a 4-timer in the state of Kansas? My little brother is now 5, but is pretty much guaranteed to be a 4-timer with the blood line that he has. Roberson was probably thought to be a pretty solid shot, and the Slyter kid seems to have a good chance at being one. Who else from past and present....

I think Bo Maynes might have garnered that possible honor after winning a plethora of kids titles.

The answer is no and no. No one is a sure 4Xer or for that matter a sure 1Xer. Too many things can happen regarding injury, (like I wouldn't know about that right now) and another is growing. Don't take this wrong, but Sharky for example is a great kid and a great wrestler. I think the world of he, his dad, and his club, but Sharky is going to have to grow some. Donnie Altman is another perfect example of that, a great kid but didn't start growing until his Jr. year of High School. I hear 4Xer talk all of the time and hate it. Anyone planning on winning state 4X's is not focused in the right areas to win state 1X in my opinion. Just my two cents worth. By the way billy_mcjackson_ripjc, a pretty good topic from someone known only for having fun.

I think a lot of people thought Shawn Silvis would be a 4 timer...I think Elliot from Augusta could become a 4 timer, but I don't think he'll be undefeated all 4 years.

I heard stories about Dusty Spaulding coming to Manhattan back in the day and about how he was going to be a 4-timer. That counts Furches.

Spaulding lived in Council Grove but wrestled for Emporia...how far of a drive was it from the 4a town to the 6a metropolis?

He was going to move to Manhattan because it was a stronger program from what I heard.

Neil Erisman will be a Senior (2005-2006) this coming season. Freshman (2002-2003) season lost to Luedke in finals in overtime, Sophomore (2003-2004) season lost to Wiscombe in semi-final match in double overtime, and Junior (2004-2005) season lost in finals to Zahm.

I think that Elijah Madison might have been the best 4 timer with a shot as a HWT for all 4 years.
