It's not one tournament its a point system based on competition in several tournaments. I never heard of the 275lb guy or the town he's from!

Swayz is right it is actually like 5 tournaments and a point system. The least in any of Nathan's brackets, 15, the most 45 at Reno Worlds, I would imagine the same at some of the other weights, I had a friend at Reno who had over 100 kids in his bracket. And yes at some of these tournaments there are people from other countries, especially so in the older divisions including an 18 & Under division.

Of all places I was at State Softball in Salina today and a lady from Mission Valley who was watching her Granddaughter who was playing for Chapman told me she was at a graduation of 7 in McDonald,KS I was like I've heard of that from wrestling! Followed by a where is that? She told me near Atwood so now you all know.

It's a very reasonable explanation, and I know this because that's what we do here in Clearwater. lol.

Alex is home schooled and is not on any high school team. He is a very nice young man and I look forward to see him at state this weekend.

Alex is a very gifted kid he plays a very mean violin. His mom home schools him because they are great Christian people and know there are things you get and don't get in pubic school he does need and does not need .He plays music all over and he wrestles all over.It would be hard for him to go to school& travel as much as they do. Don't get me wrong his mother does a great job teaching He is very smart and has a great personality. This faimly is doing the imposable in Christ name and doing a very good job.If you every get a chance to meet them them Swayz they well touch your heart just like you touched mine we I met you Danny

I heard that when he is too old for kids level tournaments that you should not be surprised to see him wrestling at a high school and joining public school for his final few years in high school. I think it would be great if he gets to compete in the FHSU High School Invitational next year.

There is actually a point I would like to see addressed. Some states allow home schooled kids to participate on the state High School level. I don't know if Kansas has that or not but think they should. What do others think, should a kid who is home schooled be able to compete for a team, or at events? Why or why not?

I know we had a kid on my son's football team that was home schooled and I was told the KHSSA rules states he can play sports with the junior high and high school that he would attend if he went to public school. Not 100% sure if that is correct, but that is what I was told from a coach.
