Big ups to my boyeeeee Derek Bunker, who came out of NOWHERE and won 6A 160. Well, not really. He was good and stuff, but not many people predicted him to win state. (Uhh, I totally did, Derek. Totally.)
Beat a stud in Madill from Lawrence on the way to the finals, then beat Brock Glessner (another surprise- beat Lappin, congrats Brock) 8-3. Tough as crap on his feet. Just a manly, manly guy this weekend. Way to go, Bunk.
But I'm still way better.

Congratulations to Bunker, but that just shows how much hard 321A is than 6A, cuz Tim Sprigg beat Bunker by like 8 points and only placed 6th at state.

Sark Mith Saybon, Bunker also beat Sprigg at the same tournament(Newton). Bunker had a great state tournament and wrestled the way many Manhattan fans thought he should have all year. Don't try to take that from the young man. By the way, I think you are a member of the Norton High Q team, congrats on your accomplishments. You would have missed this one big time, but I think Sprigg would have known the answer.

Bunker wrestled an awesome tourney, and congrats to him, but I might be wrong on this, but wasn't he supposed to have Rhoades first round?

Of course there is always one jerk tyrin to take away the mans title that he already won. What an idiot. Yea he was supposed to have rhodes, would he have beaten bunker...surely not. Bunker could have beat just about anyone the way that he wrestled this last weekend. Why even talk about Rhodes...he wasn't in the tournament. He broke a rule and he had to pay the consequences. You say you are not trying to take anything away from bunk but you did by just mentioning rhodes. Talk about all the studs that BUnker beatthis last weekend, not the match that never happened. (Cuz you know that Superman would totally destroy He-man)

Bunker beat Sprigg by like 1 or 2 points the first match, Sprigg beat Bunker by 7 or 8 points the second time. I think that shows who the better wrestler is. Also I have worked hard to get on the L team, so don't underestimate me.

I'm not bringing him down, I'm bringing down the entire institution of 6A wrestling. Mad props to Bunker for a great upset championship. That's what makes wrestling great. Anyone can win any match. Just pointing out the situation that exists.

First of all you didn't indicate how you did at state, which already lets us know how you did. Secondly score is not always an indicator of who is better. I am sure that Sprigg would have rather lost to Bunker earlier in the year and then win at state...wouldn't you think? IT JUST MAKES SENSE!The better wrestler is guy who steps up and keeps his cool, and knows how to win.
I sure am tired of defending bunks championship. I think I'll just let the #1 next to his name do the talking.

Prant Garker, from what I have observed the last couple of months is that you know more about this sport than anyone. I was just wandering how you done in the state finals?

I dont know anything about the kid who won but he should be congratulated for winning. Maybe he wasnt the best wrestler all year but he is the one who won. If State was only about ranked wrestlers, who are more deserving to win take the top 8 ranked wrestlers and have a tourney. However, HS sports allow for everyone to participate in substate whether they are 33-0 or 0-33. Obvsiously, this kid was the best wrestler the last 4 matches of the year!

DJ-
Terrific job this weekend. You wrestled gallently. Glad the hard work finally paid off.
Sark Mith Saybon-
Boo on you for making fun of upper classes. I'll wrestle you anytime.

You disappoint me, former Bigkneepads#2. You disappoint me.
I finished ahead of the Norton 171 pounder at Newton, who placed at 321a state. Does that mean I would place at 321a state? (surely not, I suck bigtime.) Also, The Hat finished 5000 points ahead of everyone at Newton. Does that make us state champs? No, it doesn't.
Bunker beat Madill from Lawrence and Cisper from Aquinas, both regional champs. No one in the state could have beat him on his feet last weekend. (Except me.)

Excuse me, Bunker beat THREE #1 seeds in his title-winning run.
You still think he doesn't deserve his title?
